Ash and Chilean beech, finished with my own special blend of dyes. The colours really bring out the character of the wood, and the handle has come up beautifully against the ash shaft.

This is the Irish blackthorn behind them. A rough-looking piece of wood, but there’s the makings of a cracking walking stick in there.
It’s amazing what you can find growing in the Irish hedgerows. 🇮🇪
