I've been having a run of bad 'luck' recently, and stupidly joked that at least the kiln hadn't broken...

Fell off ladder, liver & rib damage.
Lost sheep.
Lost phone.
Dog broke printer.
Fried laptop.
Bank card cancelled.
Spinning wheel not working.
Locked out of many apps and accounts.
Studio flooded and roof leaking.

So of course the kiln was next 🙄

Looks like a straightforward fix though....

Lots of Halloween goodies available in the studio just now, including these little witches. Let's face it, witches are vital all year around, not just for Samhain!

For those who don't know, my day job is pottery. In fact my busy pottery studio subsidises the croft schenanigans.

However there is a cross over. The pottery animals are labour intensive, but not as naughty as certain sheep who shall not be named. Some of them do fly, but it's not over fences, more 'off the shelves' and off around the world.

Highland coos inevitably sell so fast I only have 1 lil' guy to photograph for you today.

Had a quick peruse through some archive pix today, loads of pottery items that I forgot I made. Lots of colour schemes also surprised me. I wish I had more time to catalogue these, record them, arrange them in colour coded patterns, create swatches in a variety of mediums, and make a billion more glaze combinations... to then record and arrange and look at again.

But I can't even remember what colours I used today. We'll find out when I open the kiln tomorrow.

I've had the usual summer rush of visitors pottery sessions, so haven't been able to make any pots myself. The shelves are getting emptied quickly, so I had a throwing marathon yesterday. Once I start I don't want to stop!

It's as well that I got a lot done, as I foolishly was handfeeding a piggie later on and, blimey that lil' guy has sharp teeth! So no throwing today for me.
