This original Victorian arched cast iron fireplace insert is distinguished by a repeating floral rosette border around the arch and a traditional curved fire opening. Supplied complete with fret, grate, cast iron fireback and damper. This is an original Victorian cast iron fireplace surround with Registered Design number 4862, dating it to 1884, showcasing an elegant classical decorative design. This Victorian style all-in-one cast iron combination fireplace, in the manner of Thomas Jeckyll, is distinctive for its richly detailed Aesthetic Movement decoration. The upper panel features deeply cast flowers and foliage, including a bird and butterfly, with an arched opening framed by geometric detailing and decorative circular rosettes. Small floral motifs on the sides add to its unusually elaborate appearance.

The fireplace is supplied complete with a fret, grate, cast iron fireback and ashpan cover. As an all-in-one unit, there is no separate mantel or surround required. This is an original late Victorian cast iron combination fireplace, with its design registered in 1887 under Registered Design number 82437. The upper section features a central panel with classical floral decoration and swag detailing, framed by reeded and moulded borders. Decorative scroll motifs sit either side, while the substantial moulded mantel and tall proportions give the fireplace a particularly impressive appearance.

As an all-in-one combination fireplace, the surround, mantel and insert form a single cast iron unit. Supplied complete with fret, grate, cast iron fireback, ashpan cover and damper.
