Because I’ve skived off to .co.uk with this weekend I thought I’d do another Prize Draw for you with some new goodies from 😊

My fab friend Susan popped by to give me a hand yesterday and did a beautiful job of pinning out these tiny doily circles to block.

They have been taken from a larger piece so that they can become part of my Midnight Hare Boro-style stitching kits along with vintage lace, ribbon and trims, tea dyed cotton and gorgeous blue printed fabric from lovely Lindsay

I’ve put the kits back on my website for pre-order - I just need the doilies to dry then I can make up the boxes when I get back on Tuesday!

I love seeing how everyone makes their own unique version of this kit with different layouts and embellishments and slow, mindful stitching is such a soothing and rewarding pastime 🧵

We’ve been playing with pretty fabrics again today!!

This time we’ve been raiding my stash of Liberty print patchwork cotton (not Tana Lawn) to make up some cute little hexagon paper piecing sets inside the adorable Cotton Reel tins!

Each tin contains at least 20 pieces of fabric and we have done our best to give as many different designs as possible.

Each piece should make 2 x 3/4 inch hexagons and I have included 20 templates to get you started along with a little bobbin of thread and a sewing needle that I have stuck inside the lid of the tin so you don’t catch yourself on it!

I will include my simple instructions for English Paper Piecing with each order.

Ooh, just remembered that I still have a few of my mini tins full of old lace pieces!

The Lovely Goose and Gosling kits featuring the gorgeous patterns by .knitting are now available on my website 🪿🪿🪿🪿🪿🪿

Each kit has FOUR pattern booklets - My Lovely Goose, My Lovely Goose’s Outfit, My Lovely Gosling and My Lovely Gosling’s Sweater & Pants

There’s enough yarn to make a Goose and 2 Goslings as well as a goose hat and neckerchief and a sweater and pants for one of the goslings!

And they are just soooo adorable!!!

This is the first time I’ve written a real letter by hand in years but these gorgeous letter/envelope sets from Pigeon Posted are making it a lot of fun - although they haven’t magically fixed my appalling handwriting 🫣

I’ve been following for several months now and I love the ethos of slowing down to take the time to write a real letter - slow is not a state my mind is used to!

I am considering signing Locket Land up to be part of their worldwide network of shops that support their pen-pal scheme so I thought I’d better actually write a letter myself to get back in the habit!!

I have a new range of Pigeon Posted stationery in the shop and it was hard to know which one to choose for myself as I love them all - but the seabirds won this time!

As I mentioned the other day, I’m going to be away a lot in June and the shop will be closed more than normal, so I’ve created this post to show you when I will and won’t be around!!

Green dots = shop OPEN 10-4

Red dots = shop CLOSED ALL DAY

Yellow = Knit Group

Blue = Workshop - and this one will be a fab watercolour workshop with on Saturday 13th (a couple of spaces still available)

I’m going to .co.uk in Penrith next weekend to help

It will be the weekend of 20th-21st

And I’ll be having time off with my family for the last week of the month

The Good News is that it’s ALL DAY knit group today from 10.30!

The Bad News is that I’m going to be away for a lot of June so there won’t be any Saturday knit groups until July and only ONE Friday knit group on 12th June! 🫣

I don’t like it!!! How am I going to cope without it? I love knit group and the time to chat with you and discuss my plans and ideas for new projects and stock!

One highlight in the month will be the gorgeous watercolour workshop with on Saturday 13th (a couple of spaces still available)

And I have to confess that I am looking forward to helping at .co.uk next weekend, and exhibiting at cumbrianwoolgathering with .by.isla on the 20th/21st

And it would be rude not to be excited for my family holiday in the Lake District at the end of the month!! 🤭
