Recently, I’ve really been craving a slower, softer pace of life 🤍
The kinds of “granny hobbies” I want to lean into more this year (and you’ll definitely be seeing more of here):
• Embroidery (always!)
• Sourdough baking
• Mending and fixing clothes
• Gardening
• Up-cycling bits I already have
• Adding little stitched details to things I love
• Cooking from scratch
• Baking
It’s funny how things come full circle. I grew up in the New Forest and was always busy making. I went off to uni, moved to London, built a career…
And now, after having my kids, everything feels a bit different.
I don’t feel that same pull to chase work in the way I used to. I just want to slow things down, notice the small bits, and spend more time making things with my hands.
The loveliest part is that these are all the things I watched my parents and grandparents do growing up — growing food, fixing things, making things from scratch, embroidery…
Turns out they were onto something all along 🤍
If you’re into slower living and making things yourself, you’re in the right place 🤍
What’s one “granny hobby” you love (or want to try)?
