I do love a trip to a flower show, but this year I couldn’t fit it in. So I’m having my own flower show right here 😝

If you grow flowers, what are you most excited about this year?
I’ll go first….dahlias for me. My tubers have just sprouted and I’m so excited for them to get lots of sun over the next week!

But gosh they are needy! Unlike my embroidery flowers 🤭

In other news, all kit orders will be posted out on Friday and then I’m taking a short holiday ❤️

Making time for crafts is so beneficial to your mental health!

Helping others find an outlet for creativity or embark on a new hobby is honestly such a joy and gives me endless satisfaction and happiness ❤️

I’ve run so many more workshops this year than past years and I’m loving them so much.

I’ve got new dates in May-July available to book on my website and more summer dates coming soon. I’ve also still got some availability for some craft parties. So if want to get your friends together for a really lovely crafty evening/morning…id love to help 😘 Just DM me!

You probably know by now that I stitch pretty much everywhere I go 🤭

It’s just so handy to have a little project in your bag to pick up when your waiting for a friend or just need a mindful moment ❤️

These photos were from last week when I met my friend in my favourite cafe in Ripley, Surrey.

These are my handbag essentials! Spot the project bag 😂 Yes it’s a trusty ikea bag! Anyone else love ikea bags!?

Any project bag makers want to convert me!? It needs to be water proof and small. Pockets not necessary, just keeps my hoops 4” or 6” clean and can fit in a handbag without bulk…as sometimes a girl needs shades 😝

New pomegranate design being released as a set soon 🥳

Recently, I’ve really been craving a slower, softer pace of life 🤍

The kinds of “granny hobbies” I want to lean into more this year (and you’ll definitely be seeing more of here):

• Embroidery (always!)
• Sourdough baking
• Mending and fixing clothes
• Gardening
• Up-cycling bits I already have
• Adding little stitched details to things I love
• Cooking from scratch
• Baking

It’s funny how things come full circle. I grew up in the New Forest and was always busy making. I went off to uni, moved to London, built a career…

And now, after having my kids, everything feels a bit different.

I don’t feel that same pull to chase work in the way I used to. I just want to slow things down, notice the small bits, and spend more time making things with my hands.

The loveliest part is that these are all the things I watched my parents and grandparents do growing up — growing food, fixing things, making things from scratch, embroidery…

Turns out they were onto something all along 🤍
If you’re into slower living and making things yourself, you’re in the right place 🤍

What’s one “granny hobby” you love (or want to try)?
