I’m getting very close to selling my 500th potted plant!

When I first put a few plants out on my driveway in May, I really didn’t know whether anybody would buy them 😂

So I thought I’d make plant number 500 a little bit special…

Whoever buys my 500th potted plant will get their whole purchase completely free! 🌸

I’ll be at Meridale this Saturday and Sunday, so I have a feeling we might find out what number 500 is this weekend!

Mostly though, thank you to everyone who has stopped at the driveway, found me at a fair, come back for more or recommended me to somebody else. I genuinely appreciate it.

Now I’m slightly curious to see what plant number 500 actually turns out to be and how much it’ll cost me! 😂

I’ve got lots of autumn bedding for colour through to spring, fresh flower bunches cut from the garden.

A selection of hardy plants that’ll come back each year, £6 each or two for £10 for today.

I’ll be outside the Meridale this Saturday and Sunday with cut flowers, hardy potted plants and the first batch of autumn bedding plants.

So which do I prefer? Both 😂

Pansies have the bigger flowers, while violas have lots of smaller flowers — and I think there’s a place for both.

I tend to put pansies in the borders where their bigger flowers stand out, and violas in pots where I can enjoy all those little flowers up close.

They’ll both keep bringing colour to the garden through autumn, winter and into spring

Plant pot recycling ♻️

For anyone local that might’ve missed it — East Lindsey District Council is now accepting most plastic plant pots, tubs and trays in household recycling (grey lid for me), as long as they’re empty, clean and loose.

The exception is black plastic plant pots, as the sorting equipment can’t always detect them.

So I’m moving over to recyclable grey pots; the first ones are the autumn and winter bedding plants 🌱

It means when you’ve finished with one of my pots, if you can’t reuse it yourself, you can simply clean it out and put it in your recycling.

My driveway is open today 🌸

Plenty out this morning, including perennials, autumn planters and some freshly cut bunches from the garden.

This will be my last regular driveway stand for a few weeks, as September is going to be busy with fairs most weekend!

I’ll be posting where you can find me each weekend, and there’s plenty more autumn colour still growing behind the scenes.

I’ll pop the driveway stand out again later in the autumn too.
