We enjoyed this one and it looks so good!

Brampton Chase tile effect LVT using the Black and White Marble stones designs for that classic chess board look!

Combining the look of tiles with the durability of LVT is a popular choice, and rightly so!

We're looking forward to seeing how this looks when the rest of the kitchen renovation is complete!

🏡 Small Spaces. Big Impact.

A great example of how the right flooring can completely transform an end-of-tenancy property.

For this project, we replaced tired and dated flooring across the kitchen, utility room and bathroom with a modern herringbone-effect vinyl, creating a much fresher, cleaner and more contemporary finish throughout.

Despite these being relatively small spaces, the transformation is huge!

At LayCo, we work with landlords, letting agents and property managers to help bring properties back to market with flooring that's hard-wearing, practical and looks great.

The last few months have been a busy mix of fitting projects and growing the business behind the scenes!

And we’re pleased to share another milestone as we’ve now achieved CHAS Elite Status! 🙌

For us, this is about much more than simply ticking a box.

We’ve put a huge amount of work into developing our policies, procedures, health & safety documentation, training, quality management and the overall standards we operate to as a business.

The quality of the flooring we install is hugely important to us, but so is the way we conduct ourselves as a contractor.

We’re continuing to build LayCo with the aim of being a flooring contractor that main contractors, developers, facilities managers and commercial clients can rely on, both for the work we deliver and the professional standards behind it.

So, if you’re a main contractor, developer, facilities management company or commercial client looking for a flooring company across South Wales that takes both quality and compliance seriously, we’d love to have a conversation.

🏡 Another full flooring transformation completed by LayCo in Llanelli! 🏡

This one was all about getting the preparation right before the flooring went down. 👌

We started by latex levelling the existing floor, creating a smooth, flat and perfectly prepared subfloor ready for the LVT installation.

We then fitted a stunning tile-effect LVT throughout the living room and kitchen, giving the space a modern, clean and practical finish. 🔥

The tile effect gives the look of traditional tiles without compromising on the durability and easy maintenance of LVT — perfect for a busy home.

We’ve been a little quiet on socials lately with holidays, family time and everything else going on… but behind the scenes, the work certainly hasn’t stopped! 👀

We wrapped up another full house flooring renovation in Port Talbot yesterday, ready for the property developer to hand over to their end investor. 🏠🔑

For this one, we supplied and fitted:

🧶 Carpet throughout – including underlay and new grippers, using our stocked Melbourne range in Pecan Pie. This was fitted across the:
• Stairs
• Landing
• Bedrooms
• Living rooms

🪵 Vinyl flooring – fitted through the kitchen and hallway in a beautiful oak-effect herringbone pattern, giving the property a modern finish while still keeping it warm and practical.

Another full property transformed from top to bottom, ready for its next chapter. 👌

Another flooring transformation completed by the team! 🙌

For this project, we started by lifting the existing floor and preparing the subfloor properly to ensure a long-lasting finish. We installed a damp-proofing coat, followed by a latex smoothing compound to create the perfect base.

Once prepared, we applied a high-temperature adhesive before fitting the stunning Brampton Chase Studio Design LVT in Blonde Oak, laid in a classic herringbone pattern. 😍

The finished result looks absolutely fantastic and gives the space a timeless, stylish feel.

Sometimes, mistakes happen. 🤦‍♂️

In this case, a carpet was delivered to us in the wrong colour. Unfortunately, without realising, our team collected it and fitted it for the customer.

As soon as the customer made us aware, we acted quickly. Rather than asking the customer to wait while we went through the supplier’s investigation and complaints process, we ordered the correct carpet immediately at our own expense so we could get the issue resolved as quickly as possible.

We then returned to the property, lifted the incorrectly fitted carpet and replaced it with the colour the customer had originally chosen. 🙌

Nobody wants mistakes to happen, but we believe what really matters is how they’re handled when they do.

We’ll always take responsibility for putting things right and deal with any issues behind the scenes, rather than leaving our customers waiting for a resolution.

Because things don’t always go perfectly… but when they don’t, we’ll do everything we can to make them right. 👍

🔥 THE FLOORING SHOWDOWN IS ON… 🔥

If you had to choose ONE for your home, which would you go for? 👀

🧺 BASKET WEAVE
or
🔶 HERRINGBONE

Our new J2 Flooring Basket Weave LVT range is already proving popular in London and across Hotels, but it’s still relatively new to South Wales - and we think it could be the next big flooring trend here!

Herringbone, of course, has been a firm favourite for years and continues to look fantastic in both modern and traditional spaces.

Both are available in a variety of colours and styles, so there’s plenty of choice whichever pattern you prefer.

👇 NOW IT’S OVER TO YOU…

🧺 Comment BASKET WEAVE if that’s your pick
🔶 Comment HERRINGBONE if you’re sticking with the classic

Which one gets your vote? 👇
