πŸ‘‹πŸΌ Hiya! How's your week going? We've been tackling multiple projects including decorating the hallway, it's still not finished because I absolutely hate painting (we started this job in September so you can tell how it's going!! πŸ˜‚) I have found a nice dark green for the stairs though so that's a win. I've been battling painting the bannister most recently (the worst bit so far) , I still have the floor upstairs and the skirting boards to go!

To be fair all of that decorating has been in and around a million other jobs so it's going to take time. We're really busy with Rhys' graphic design business at the moment with exciting new clients and also of course is keeping on our toes too.

But of course despite all that, there's always time for a little furniture fun!

Here is our latest offering 🀎 a gorgeous slim bookcase crafted in solid oak with sliding doors.

This is going to look beautiful full of treasured books and curated special things.

Approx. Dimensions (widest points):
Height (overall): 101cm
Length: 133cm
Depth: 29cm

Time is flying and I've temporarily lost my furniture flow! We work on multiple projects at a time meaning things often get picked up and put down when other things take over.

But fear not, we're still here! We have a container full of beautiful furniture waiting to find homes and some awesome new stock waiting in the wings too.

Here's a piece I've been holding on to for a while thinking I'd keep it for myself for a garden room. I still have dreams of a riverside summer house but it won't be for a while yet and storage struggles means I have to let it go 😭!

Hope everyone had had a lovely bank holiday weekend? We've had a busy one here working but we managed a few hours in the garden yesterday afternoon so that was nice. Lots to catch up on though, the garden has gone mad πŸͺπŸŒΏπŸŒΌ

Here's a rare picture of us all together, taken on our holiday in London last weekend. We stayed with our friends in Chiswick and it was absolutely amazing, they were so kind and looked after us so much. I haven't relaxed like that in years and the sun shone the whole weekend. Of course Rowley was the star of the show getting attention from all four of us. He thinks it's absolute rubbish now he's home and we're back to work and he's not the centre of attention and not brunching and playing all day πŸ˜‚!

I've not posted in ages!! Mainly because it's been a pretty crazy month so far. Non stop actually! But all positive. Just a bit mental.

I spent some time worrying about the oil crisis (along with the horrendous current world affairs) but then scored a year's worth of wood by chance. We collected in three van loads and stacked out the front. We won't freeze to death next year. (I can't control geopolitics but at least we won't be bankrupt from heating the house)

We've done a few furniture collections, so have some super cool glazed bookcases to show you - always the most popular stock item! I've started work on them already and they are beautiful ❀️!

We've done a few local deliveries to lovely customers and have a courier collection this afternoon πŸ’•

We've swapped our furniture storage around, still chaos but better.

Rhys has been flat out designing, he's got some fantastic repeat customers keeping him busy

We've started taking down a giant multi stem sycamore in the garden, it was copiced previously and it's grown back to monster proportions! More fire wood for next year! We need to finish that job actually πŸ€”.

We also built a massive dead hedge in the garden, absolute game changer for us. No more tip runs or bonfires required.

We have been helping family restore and paint some windows. That's a bigger job for the weeks and months ahead πŸ–ŒοΈπŸ‘πŸΌ

We've also been mega busy with April is a fantastic month to visit and we've been pretty much back to back with guests this month.

April is not done yet and we're off to London to visit friends before the month is over. Rowley's first city break! Look out London, hope you're ready for scruffy craziness coz he is bringing it!

I'm pumped for a great week this week and will hopefully have some new stock to show you.

The secretaire in the pic here is available. I've waffled too much here to talk about them but shout if you wanna see/here more and I'll forward info πŸ‘πŸΌπŸ˜Š

We're about to get busy so I spent most of last week touching up paintwork and revamping bedside tables with paint - although in true typical me fashion I kind of wish I had left them as they were now (πŸ˜–) I can't get no satisfaction at the moment!
We're trying not to let our ever growing to do list get on top of us so we made sure we had a relaxing weekend. We visited friends in the sunshine on Saturday then went for the first fire/cook out up the mountain with other friends on Saturday night then another day of relaxation yesterday walking Rowley in the woods followed by seeing family. To round off the weekend, home, fire and Sunday dinner πŸ‘πŸ»β€οΈ.
This week has potential to be HECTIC so we must try to maintain our Zen πŸ§˜πŸΌβ€β™€οΈ....
Have a great week!

I'm up early which goes against the core of my being but it is rather nice to hear the birds waking up and tweeting their little heads off. I'm away for a few days playing horses with my folks so looking forward to that 🐎🐎 nearly time to get my going actually so writing this is procrastination with a capital P.
Rhys and I photographed the big antique glazed shop cabinet/dresser yesterday so hopefully I'll be able to share that before the weekend otherwise I'll definitely do it as soon as I'm back.

In the meantime, what do you think of this fricking amazing Gordon Russell Verco Chair?!

I think you'll agree it's πŸ‘ŒπŸ»πŸ‘ŒπŸ»πŸ‘ŒπŸ»!

DM for full spec and photo album link. (I'll be on the road today but will share a little later)

Thanks πŸ™πŸ»

We happily play the long game sometimes to ensure the special pieces find the right home. To say I was head over heels with this antique drawer pair was the understatement of the century. Did I have anywhere to keep them for myself? No. Is that the job? Also no. We had to wait to find them the perfect home, where someone has the perfect spot for them. I'm delighted that they went to fellow dealer , not for resale but for his personal collection. I also have the satisfaction of knowing that if he ever decides to sell them on he will also be finding a good home for them.
Thank you hope you have many years of enjoyment from them 🧑🧑.

We had a dry afternoon yesterday and there was enough light to do some photography! FINALLY! It's looking pretty dry now too! Rowley is out for a walk with Rhys while I have a tidy up here and quickly share this gorgeous desk with you. We then have a turn around this afternoon and Rhys has design work to crack on with while I choose paint for the woodwork in the hallway. It's all go, but all good. Hope you're having an enjoyable Saturday so far.

This lovely light oak β€˜teachers’ desk has lovely proportions and will look fantastic in a cool home office. I particularly like the handles on this one, so simple and stylish!
