Vintage Châteauneuf-du-Pape
"Age Inconnu" – Historic Merchant Bottle

Heavily weathered with authentic cellar patina, this 1940s/50s Burgundy-bottled rarity is an exceptional, character-rich display piece for any serious w**e library.

Bearing the rare "Age Inconnu" (Age Unknown) designation, the bottle contains a multi-vintage blend of Châteauneuf-du-Pape sourced from the Southern Rhône and meticulously aged and bottled by the historic, now-defunct Burgundy négociant house of Ch. Gautier et Cie in Beaune.

Featuring the mandatory post-1936 "Appellation Contrôlée" text, the liquid is housed in a classic, smooth-sided glass bottle traditionally used by merchant houses before estate-embossed glass became standard.

Coated in a thick, authentic layer of cellar dust and topped with its original red wax capsule - an extraordinary rustic patina. Uniquely bridging the commercial traditions of the Rhône and Burgundy, it stands as an evocative, museum-quality showpiece for a cellar, bar, or historical collection.
