Stafford Wool Gathering is just a few days away so I wanted to share just a few things that I’ll be bringing. My bargain braids have been very popular this year so I’m bringing plenty - wool, blends and some are hand dyed by me. I’ve also added mixed bags of carded wool to sit alongside my hand dyed uncarded wool -brilliant for needlefelting or adding some texture to your carded fibre or batts. Finally I’ve been topping up my 100g batts and 25g mini batts.

You will find lots more on the stall so please pop by and say hi. 😀

I’ve been having a busy time with work and family but in the background I’ve been preparing for the Stafford Wool Gathering on 17-18 October at the Staffordshire Show ground. This was a great show last year and I’m looking forward to being back. I’ll be bringing lots of weaving and felting kits, fibre and art batts, bargain braids and grab bags and much more. As always, I’ll be bringing a floor loom so that you can try your hand at weaving. Hope to see you there. 😀

The resources I buy for the studio are very pricey and it’s always a joy to be able to top them up with rescued/donated resources from Saxon Hill Craft Barn at Chasewater. I always get a bargain without compromising on quality and the volunteers there are amazing. Today’s haul (and I always come home with more than I went for!) is 3 brand new cones of cashmere, 4 rolls of ribbon for bow making, 8ish metres cotton fabric, 75x12” square card for bookmaking and 2 full books of 12” square card (48 sheets). I’m a happy gal and all for the grand cost of £28.

I challenge Hannah Sprague to come and do a “ow much” video next time she’s home. 😂
