Hello Crafters,
tonight at 5 - 7pm at Cr'afterwork /Hobbycraft Tamworth, I'll be putting the finishing touches onto this Autumnal Hair-Corsage and attaching a fastening. Last Saturday I dashed into Hobbycraft Tamworth to buy some of this wonderful thread by Gutermann called Sulky, it's a filament that I've mixed with a ball of Rowan kid silk mohair to achieve this great effect ( my friend uses it and encouraged me to try). I crocheted using mostly trebles then cut out leaves from beautiful felted wool and machine-stitched the veins. It was lovely to work with and now I have a new design to sell at The Barton Marina Craft Fairs -last Sunday each month.

Hi there, I thought some of you busy crafters would like to meet this lovely lady, she runs the most amazing rag rug workshops, recycling well-washed clothing etc to produce excellent rugs/bags and now " Owls". Let me know if you want details of her Autumn dates, I went to The Hobbycraft Tamworth Craft Room Session last year and became "Hooked"! Forgive the pun.

A busy day yesterday at The Quirky Craft and Vintage Fair at Ticknall, great weather and so I took my table outside, loads of lovely creator/ makers and I used some of the gorgeous beads that I bought from Hobbycraft Tamworth to make these brooches and hair combs. Hazel "Fanny's Attic" Parker - I'll bring examples along to Cr'afterwork on third wednesday September, notice my colour choice is going autumnal.

I've just finished re-vamping my bedroom and with fabric left over from the bed cushions I made , I'm going to have a go at covering these shade frames, come along to Cr'afterwork on September 18th to see how it's done, they have different sizes and they're very reasonably priced. I did a "Getting to know your Sewing Machine" lesson earlier this week in The Craft Room at Hobbycraft Tamworth and saw their lovely new ranges, very inspiring , just look at these super "mouthwatering" buttons. Watch this space for ideas how to use them or send us your designs.
Remember Wednesday 18th September I'll be hosting Cr'afterwork and we can all "Show and Tell" what creating we've done during our lovely summer.

Sorry for my silence over the past couple of weeks, Bank Holiday Craft Fairs are great fun but can take up loads of time. I promised the ladies who came to August's Cr'afterwork to post their Strawberry Bag-Charms, so feast your eyes on this - mouthwatering aren't they?
They're such fun to make and can be done by all ages from 5 upwards. Let me know if you want the pattern/ kit.

Yesterday when I was collecting the eggs I found these beautiful feathers, well they're too gorgeous not to use so I headed to my bead and findings box in the workroom and came up with this, just right for the Indian Summer we're enjoying. I've asked dog-walking friends to look out for more feathers for me . I'll bring it along to Cr'afterwork if any of you want to see it. 3rd Wednesday each month. Hazel "Fanny's Attic" Parker. X
