Voyage Thistle Glen fabric Roller Blinds fitted today. They look lovely in this conservatory. What a heat there was behind the glass while fitting , phew !
Also Chrome eyelet curtains made for a Dining room with matching Roman Blind over the sink . The fabric used here was a Sanderson one which is called “A celebration of the national trust “ it was a great fabric to work with ,as no movement ,which makes life a lot more pleasant for me 😊

Recent work , A stool was recovered in Abraham Moon wool fabric. The old cover was stripped off and a new layer of wadding was put on to give the nice new fabric a firm base , finished off with pin tacs…
Contrasting wool checked cushions were made with self piping ,filled with plump feather inners .
Second job …Two new Prestigious fabrics were ordered to be used for fronts of cushions . The red backs and piping were previously the clients sofa cushion covers which I took to pieces and reused . Client has their own inner pads .
Job 3.
Unlined Curtains with chrome eyelets for the clients guest bedroom . She has blinds on the window so opted for unlined curtains here . Prestigious textiles fabric .
Job 4
Was a very sunny room in Banchory where a pair of lined curtains were made with a triple pleat pelmet which was all hand made . A Nina Campbell Linen fabric .
It’s been a change making cushions as there’s been a lot of Roman blinds in 2024 .
Next inline are Roman blinds and eyelet curtains which I will be making a start to tomorrow .
My work calander is pretty well booked up until the end of Summer . Better get my head down !

Well , that’s it for 2024 . We Fitted a house of Roman blinds and curtains today and now that’s the workroom doors closed for a well earned break over the festivities . Many Thanks to Bill Barclay for another year of fitting Blinds, curtain tracks and poles and also to all Clients for keeping me as busy as ever another year .

The workroom got a clear out today as we fitted a number of Roman blinds for a lovely couple in Dess . All Linen Fabric by Susie Watson and Vanessa Arbuthnott except the yellow floral in the hallway . It was originally curtains, which I made into Roman blinds for the clients previous house , altered again to make these two smaller Roman blinds .

The newly Refurbushed Queens Buildings Restaurant at Balmoral which opened on July 1st . A few pairs of Tartan curtains , tiebacks and cushions were required for the soft furnishings . Curtains were fitted onto Antique brass poles .
We went up on opening day and Katelyn did a splendid job playing the bagpipes for the first coach of people to tour Balmoral Castle . Afterwards we both deserved a well earned hot chocolate and scone .😁

Here is work made for two very loyal customers . One in Ballater where we have a Roman Blind and a matching Window seat cushion . The grey compliments the lovely blue walls . The scatter cushions I made a couple of years ago goes nicely with the colours in the room .
The second visit was to Whitehouse in Alford where we fitted a fresh cotton print Roman blind with a self piped cushion made from the left over fabric .
Both blinds have an interlining as well as lining which enhances the fabric colour and/or pattern .

A seat cushion recovered for the clients bench cushion in a cotton fabric to match the Heron curtains .
The curtains were the clients own which were shortened and converted into eyelet headings .
