Wren & Bramble A calm, welcoming creative space for people who want to slow down, connect, make something, and try something new, without pressure.

Another lovely delivery from our Amazon Wishlist! 🥹💜

It really does mean so much that people are choosing to support Wren & Bramble in this way. Every little contribution helps us create a space filled with opportunities to explore, make, play and simply be.

Thank you so much to everyone who has bought something for us. We’re incredibly grateful. 🌿

If you’d like to support what we’re building, but would prefer to buy something rather than make a donation, our Wishlist is another lovely way to help. Or, of course, you can do both!

Every bit of kindness makes a difference. 💜

Sometimes, the hardest part of being creative is simply deciding where to start.💜

We know that making choices can feel overwhelming sometimes. For all sorts of reasons.

Maybe your brain is already juggling a hundred things. Maybe you're worried you won't be very good at something. Maybe there are just too many options, and suddenly doing nothing feels easier than choosing one.

So, I've introduced a little something to Wren & Bramble...

**Meet Colour Chooses!** 🎨

It's a sweet dispenser filled with colourful wooden balls, each representing a different material or creative activity.

Not sure what to do? Turn the handle, see which colour comes out, and let it give you somewhere to begin.

I'm hoping this little addition will help reduce decision fatigue, take away some of the pressure to be 'creative enough', and make getting started feel a little easier.

And there's the added bonus of that tiny dopamine hit when the ball drops out. (My fellow ADHD brains, I'm looking at you! 👀)

Of course, if you don't fancy what the colour chooses, you can always choose something else. It's an invitation, not an instruction.

You don't need an idea.
You don't need any experience.
You don't even need to make a finished piece.

**Sometimes, all we need is a little help taking that first step.**

And perhaps a little bit of play along the way. 🌿

We did it. 🤍

£250 raised in just a few days, which means our first Sing for a Seat session is fully funded.

A group of local young carers will now get two completely free hours at Wren & Bramble - time to create, breathe, chat, sit quietly, wear headphones, laugh, or simply be.

That matters.

And on a personal level, this has pushed me way outside my comfort zone. I hate feeling exposed, I overthink everything, and posting these videos has felt much bigger than it probably looks.

But I kept hearing my dad’s words in my head:
“Don’t fear failure - it’s the one thing that will hold you back from doing good in this lifetime.”

So I did it scared.

And you helped turn it into something real.

Thank you to every single person who donated, shared, commented or encouraged me.

Young carers - your session is funded. 🌱

Look what’s already arrived for Sing for a Seat ✨

A huge thank you to everyone who’s bought something from the Amazon Wishlist so far.

These aren’t just art supplies sitting on a shelf - they’ll be used in the free creative wellbeing sessions we’re fundraising to run for young carers and the other groups in the campaign.

Every pack of clay, every canvas, every little resource helps make those sessions possible.

If you’d like to contribute something tangible, the Wishlist is linked alongside the Crowdfunder in our bio. I’ll also pop them in the comments here. Even one small item genuinely helps. 🤍

Thank you for helping turn this idea into something real.

First up: young carers.

There are tens of thousands of young carers across England, and many are still hidden or unsupported. More than half say they don’t get a regular break from caring.

So I want to fund a completely free creative wellbeing session for local young carers at Wren & Bramble.

Two hours where they don’t have to look after anyone else.

Two hours to make, explore, breathe, chat if they want to, or simply have something that is just for them.

The Crowdfunder is now live, and this is the first of six groups we hope to fund.

If you can donate, amazing.

If you can’t, sharing, loving and commenting genuinely helps get the message to the folks with the big bucks! 😂

This is possibly the most daunting thing I’ve ever done. 😬

I’m going to lip-sync my way through raising money for six free creative wellbeing sessions at Wren & Bramble.

Because there are people in our community who I would love to welcome through the door, completely free of charge.

Young carers.
Bereaved children.
People who have lost a loved one through su***de or mental health difficulties.
Neurodivergent teenagers.
People living with dementia and their carers.
Families experiencing end of life.

The aim is simple: create calm, creative sessions where nobody has to be good at art, explain themselves, or earn their place.

Just a couple of hours to make, breathe, connect if they want to, and have somewhere that asks very little of them.

Our first session will be for local young carers, and then we’ll keep going, one group at a time.

I’ve set up a Crowdfunder, and I also have created an Amazon Wishlist for anyone who would rather buy something directly for the sessions.

So apparently my role in all of this is to provide the questionable costumes, dramatic lip-syncing and public embarrassment. 😂

But this is only the beginning.

My hope is that Sing for a Seat becomes something we keep building: more funded sessions, more partnerships, more groups welcomed in, and more people getting access to creative space when they need it most.

If you can donate, buy something from the wishlist, or simply share, love and comment on this post, you’ll be helping turn something very silly online into something genuinely meaningful here in our community.
