Wellbeing Wednesday's is run at the Brittons Ash Community Hall on a Wednesday alongside the community cafe 1-3pm. We are a peer led group of volunteers.

It is open to everyone, of any age. Pop along just for a cuppa tea or coffee.

Feel free to bring along any craft or art projects you are doing or we will have an activity planned for those who may wish to try something new. You don,t have to partake in the arts and crafts, come along just for a chat to find out about things going on in the local area or just to socialise.

The group is free to attend and refreshments are provided too. Donations welcome but not a requirement.

For the arts and crafts we focus on how engaging in a activity is great for our mental wellbeing and the beauty is in engaging in it, the outcome doesn't matter.

We focus on our own wellbeing and that looks different for everyone. Our volunteers have a wide range of knowledge around subjects such as activity/fitness/mental wellbeing/lots of arts and craft knowledge and lots of other stuff too.

Super exciting yesterday new fabric cae in so i can start selling wetbags. I will have some for sale on Saturday for their plants sale as I have a stall full of goodies for sale.

Its been a busy few weeks with me running in a billion different directions. Last week was all about getting settled in unit. This week its all about preparing stock for the plant sale next week.

I have been busy cutting fabric and prepping bags ready to sell as I have a stall there. Won't have as much stock as I would like but will be taking orders on the day as well.

I have been a bit quiet this week as had so much going on.
monktonparishcouncil announced their new wellbeing wednesday group that i am running the creative side for (Wed 1-2.30 @ Brittons ash community hall in Monkton)

And my big crazy news is meet the hub for my endeavours. Based in Coombe St Nicholas outside Chard!!! So excited to be part of a community.

I am sharing a unit with two others and it felt like coming home when I met Tuan. So amazing and a nice gentle move in to suit both of us.

Im starting with the top 1/3 of my half, gradually moving to 2/3rds to then my whole side while his stock is moved and sold and space made for me.

Eventually I will be running groups from here and have space for 10 people to attend. I have spent this week getting set up so I can just start creating ready for Ark plant sale on May 16th.

Planning to have a couple of spare workstations so friends etc can come up for day and create alongside me if they wish.

I am super lucky to live in a area with a fantastic parish council, I approached them with an idea and we came up with a fantastic team of people and a fantastic idea.

This starts next Wed 6th May Brittons Ash Community Hall from 1-2.30.

A Wellbeing wednesday group open to all (not just parish residents) with the options of bringing along your own art/craft project (think sewing, knitting, crochet, drawing, painting) or we will have an activity you can join in, refreshments or just a chat.

A safe, open, inclusive space to just spend some time in, and to engage in some activities if you want designed to look after your wellbeing. To be honest the end result doesnt matter, its the act of doing and taking part that counts.

🤗NEW - WELLBEING WEDNESDAYS🤗 Please join us from Wednesday 6th May for our new group at the Brittons Ash Community Hall, next to West Monkton Primary School. This is a supportive, non-judgemental group for all in our community - join us for a cuppa and conversation and some gentle crafting activities with support from Kate Mahoney Kate's Creations; Frogged & Free and Sophie Knapp MODA Interviews & Media. There is no charge for either the group or refreshments, though donations are welcome.
