There’s something special about working on a home where every material has been considered as part of the architecture and the landscape.

Natural textures. Subtle tones. Materials that will age rather than date.

Marwan’s role was to deliver the terracotta and stone tiling elements throughout the project, working alongside an incredibly talented team to ensure the finish matched the level of detail across the rest of the property.

Projects like this are exactly what Marwan is about and we are incredibly proud of the outcome.

The recently completed homestead has won ‘Best use of Material’ with Wallpaper* and Ellie Stathaki stating, ‘This project turns ancient construction techniques into a bold contemporary statement, binding architecture to landscape through soil, clay and aggregate drawn directly from the site.’

Just exceptional products, installed properly, in homes designed to stand out and last the test of time.

THE MARWAN ACADEMY — APPLICATIONS ARE OPEN 🎓

Thank you so much for the feedback and messages on our last video. We need an extra 47,000 new apprentices on top of what we already have each year just to meet demand.
We need to inspire the next generation into construction.

There is a huge amount of talent out there, but as an industry, we need to do more to give young people a proper route in — real training, real sites, real skills and a genuine career path.

That’s exactly what we want the Marwan Academy to offer.

We’re currently building the course structure around hands-on, NVQ-based training, covering everything from tiling and preparation to waterproofing, tanking, mitring and the standards expected on high-end projects.

Once the full course structure is in place, our team will begin contacting applicants.

Places will be limited.

This isn’t going to be a case of simply signing up. Applicants will go through an interview and selection process because we want people who genuinely want to learn, work hard and build a career in the industry.

If you’re under 16, a parent or guardian will need to be involved in the application process.

You don’t need years of experience.

You need the right attitude. We’ll help with the rest.

Marwan was proud to be appointed by Zota Construction to assist with the renovation of this beautiful 18th-century rectory, set between the Brendon & Malvern Hills.

A property with this much history deserves materials and craftsmanship that feel completely at home within it.

Throughout the kitchen areas, boot room and scullery, we installed new natural stone flooring — bringing character, texture and a timeless finish to the heart of the property.

The bathrooms and wetrooms were transformed using a carefully considered mix of marble, porcelain and ceramic, combining traditional materials with the demands of modern living.

We’re always proud to work alongside main contractors like Zota Construction, whose attention to detail and commitment to quality aligns perfectly with our projects.

THE MARWAN ACADEMY 🎓

We’re incredibly excited to announce something we’ve been working on behind the scenes…

The launch of the Marwan Academy.

Our industry needs the next generation of skilled, passionate tradespeople — and we want to play our part in creating them.

The Marwan Academy will offer an NVQ-based pathway into professional tiling, combining recognised qualifications with the standards, techniques and attention to detail we expect from everyone representing the Marwan name.

Training will cover everything from:

• Waterproofing & tanking
• Mitred edges & high-end finishing
• Surface preparation
• Natural stone & porcelain installation
• Setting out & detailing
• Industry best practice
• And the skills required to take a project from preparation through to completion

But this isn’t just about learning how to lay tiles.

It’s about learning a trade, a craft and a career.

We particularly want to hear from young people currently at school, college or considering what comes next who like the idea of working with their hands, creating something they can be proud of and building a genuine career within the construction industry.

And parents — if you have a son or daughter who you think could thrive in this environment, we want to hear from you too.

The qualification will be NVQ based.

The standards will have the Marwan stamp on them.
