Well… it’s raining.

That’s it. I’m calling it. 😂🍂

Summer, you were lovely, but I’m done now. I’m officially ALL IN for autumn.

I want the blankets back out, the lamps on early, cosy evenings, comfort food, oversized jumpers and absolutely no reason whatsoever to leave the house once it gets dark 😂

I know technically we’ve still got a few days of August left, but the weather has spoken as far as I’m concerned.

Autumn mode: ON. 🍂🔥

They’ve been waiting patiently all summer… 🍂🔥

Tucked away with all the autumn bits, ready for the moment when the evenings start getting a little cooler and we all begin craving that cosy feeling again.

The Fireplace is making its return on 1st September.

Warm, woody and comforting, this is one of those scents that just feels like autumn. Like the first fire of the season, darker evenings and finally having an excuse to get the blankets back out.

I can't work without music and today was the turn of the Dixie chicks. Forgot how much I like them!

Sometimes I wonder what The Book Shop looks like in your head. 📚

I obviously remember the little bookshop Grandad and I used to visit. I can still picture it, and that memory is exactly where this candle began.

But when I think of The Book Shop now, my imagination adds a little bit of magic too…

And I think it might look something like this. 🦉📚✨

I made this Owl Book Store book nook recently and I absolutely love it. The tiny shelves crammed with books, the warm lights, the character it brings… it feels like the sort of place you could lose a whole afternoon in.

And somehow, it smells like The Book Shop in my head too. Warm woods, old pages, a little spice and soft vanilla.

That's one of the things I love most about fragrance. We can all smell the same candle, but the place it takes us to can look completely different.
