We are delighted to welcome Sue Stitchbury from Calico and Stitch Sue Stichbury to our creative space to kick off the fun festive making season.

Come along and stitch some Christmas memories onto a vintage snippet roll. We will be hand-stitching various motifs onto a long strip of vintage linen, adding Sue’s signature “little ladies” alongside some Christmas embroidery✨

Lots of inspiration, the full pattern, fabric & lace etc will be provided in the kit and Sue will have some vintage bobbins available for sale, or feel free to bring your own if you have one.

The cost of the workshop is £95.00 which as always includes refreshments. Please bring along your hand stitching kit as well as any bits and bobs you may like to include in your snippet roll. Please also bring your own packed lunch, or take advantage of the lovely cafe at The Maws Craft centre.

It’s time to welcome in the Ber months🎉 with a beautiful new hat fresh off the needles. The polka dot hat by House of Buddleia is an upcoming pattern due to be released mid September, give Anna a follow to be in the loop.

I used a DK undyed yarn and a selection of pick and mix minis/scraps for the polka dots (I held them double)
I am all ready for chilly morning walks now🙂

Hello friends, something very noticable has happened at work this week…..and I can only sum it up by saying our customers are ready for the ‘Ber months🍂🎉🎉

Genuinely, the orders this week both online and with our in store visitors have really reflected a change with Forest Green, My favourite colour is Autumn, sweater weather, rustle of Autumn leaves and tractor ride to the pumpkin patch all having their moment.

Has anybody seen a podcast showing forest green? If you have could you let me know, I am convinced it has been shown somewhere as we have had a run of sweater quantities for that colour which is not usual. I would love to say thank you🙂

A big thank you also goes to Kay for using my favourite colour is Autumn in an upcoming design, it is always appreciated when designers showcase your yarn so beautifully😘

I wonder if the trend will continue next week? Have a lovely weekend and if you too fancy a yarn treat I have popped all these colours on the homepage.

Our mix tape tee sample in all its multi colour glory. This great design by .and.pine.designs was a perfect knit to showcase our pick and mix mini skeins and we are thrilled to say the kits are now on the website🫟🎉🎉

Good morning friends, I finally have some yarn to share with you!!
The downside of dyeing advent in August is there is very little to show you, also its too hot to dye yarn but what you do dye dries really quickly without having to pay for heated dryers⚖️ its all a ablance I guess.

Anyways, this months yarn clubs - Santa’s secret sock club and the speckle and fade sets are not all listed on the website🎉 this months we have we have taken inspiration from our frosted eucalyptus colourway and explored the forest greens, what do you think?

I so want to knit this myself but I am glad I outsourced it to our friend and sample knitter because she can knit ALOT faster than me🎉

Hello friends this weeks Friday focus is the mix tape tee by .and.pine.designs a new innovative design using a sideways construction and lots and lots of minis or leftovers🥰
We stock over 160 colours in our pick and mix range, each mini is 42m and cost £2.50.🎨

I have pulled a selection of 24 minis to make the tee🙂 if you need help pulling your collection together or just need a few pops to blend your scraps together either drop us an email and we will gladly help and send over pictures or shop the website.

🫟 as you shop online imagine me picking each mini and putting it in my mini basket wishing woolies still sold pick and mix sweeties! 🍬🍬
