In awe of this young lady - it’s good to talk 💚💚💚💚
Hello everyone, this week is mental health awareness week.💚
I want to take a moment to share something personal - my journey with mental health. I was diagnosed with Generalized Anxiety Disorder at the age of 18, and it’s been a part of my life ever since. My anxiety has been a crippling disorder, and as I’ve gotten older, it has only become more challenging to manage.
Last year was one of the hardest times I’ve ever faced. The feeling of anxiety and sadness became so overwhelming that I found myself having suicidal thoughts. I didn’t want to be here anymore, and I felt completely lost. It was terrifying and isolating, and I wasn’t sure how I was going to get through it, but I did.
I made the decision to start medication, and it’s made a significant difference. It hasn’t been an easy journey, but taking that step has helped me regain some control and better manage my anxiety. My close support system, friends, family, and my amazing fiancée they have been a lifeline, and I couldn’t be more grateful for their love and encouragement throughout this whole process.
One thing that has truly helped rebuild my confidence is my dog grooming business. Doing something I love every day and seeing the positive impact it has on both the dogs and their owners has given me a sense of purpose and pride. It’s more than just a job to me, it’s a passion that keeps me going.
Talking about mental health can feel overwhelming, but I believe that being open about it helps break the stigma. If you’re struggling, know that you’re not alone. It’s okay to reach out, whether that means talking to a friend, seeing a therapist, or exploring treatment options. You deserve support. 💚
If my story resonates with you or if you just need someone to listen, feel free to reach out. We’re in this together.
Each Doggy that I groom this week will be coming home with a green ribbon for the mental health awareness.💚
