Would you believe this started as a completely plain table? 💙

This is one of my favourite parts of mosaic making , watching a design slowly appear, one tiny piece at a time.

Every tile is chosen, cut and placed by hand. No two tables ever turn out exactly the same.

It takes patience, a lot of tiny decisions… and quite a few hours before we get to that final result.

But that’s exactly why we love making them.

Our mosaic tables aren’t mass produced. They’re little pieces of functional art, made to bring colour into your home or garden.

It starts with a mirror… and a lot of little pieces. 💙

Measuring, cutting, choosing colours, placing each tile and constantly stepping back to see if it feels right.

There are no shortcuts when you’re making something by hand.

And that’s exactly what we love about it.

Little by little, something ordinary becomes something completely unique.

This blue mosaic mirror is one of those pieces where the transformation makes all the hours of work worth it.

There’s a funny thing about being a maker… we’re always living one season ahead. 🍂

While the days are only just beginning to change and autumn is starting to arrive, our studio is already busy creating for the months ahead.

Because handmade takes time.

Every little detail is painted, finished and prepared by us, long before you eventually see the finished piece in our shop.

And these colourful little faces are one of the first signs that a new season has definitely arrived at Lorategi. 💀🌸

Autumn is coming… and behind the scenes, we’re already thinking about winter too. ✨

Sunday morning, one little tile at a time ✨

There’s no machine and no shortcut… every single piece is chosen and placed by hand.
