Hi, I'm Melissa, Mum of 2 beautiful girls that loves creating and crafting. Inspired by my little girls I started making hair bows, having previously studied fashion and dressing making. I really enjoying finding unusual fabrics and designs and always aim to create beautifully unique items that will be treasured. Hey all 👋 it’s been a while.
I’ve been getting lots of messages from you lovely lot about school bows, I have replied to each of you but thought I’d pop it on here too.
I am not making school bows for the return to school because I have 2 girls, I help out at school and you know what they all do? They all play with their bows, they wanna look at them, move them around, chat to their friends about them, it’s seriously cute...BUT with Covid the less opportunity to spread those germs the better. Hopefully you all understand 🎀 ✌️

How is everyone?
Just an update on 😷 MASKS 😷
I’m very flattered that so many of you have been in touch about these, but I wanted to let you all know that they are not something I am happy to sell. There are quite a few makers local to Thornbury producing them already 😊 if you are shopping for masks this is the research I have found so far and what to look for: 100% cotton, at least 2 layers -some have the ability to add a filter and nose wire (you can use a pipe cleaner or stretched out paper clip), stretch fabrics (T-shirt) are much looser weave so will not be as effective as a woven cotton (like bedsheet fabric) so keep that in mind, advice is children under 2 should NOT wear them at all.
I have donated another 2 sets of scrubs and after reading about the big community sew made 8 masks for a family of key workers 🌟

And I needed to see something to make me smile so here is my littlest in her new butterfly leggings and bunny shorts...she couldn’t decide on which pair to wear 🤪

I hope you are all keeping well in these strange times we find ourselves in. I’ve had a few messages recently so wanted to let you all know that I am currently not making or delivering any bows, my apologies. I am using what time I have to make items for key workers -so far I have donated 17 hats to a local care home and a pair of scrubs, the 2nd pair are under way.

Bows will be back but for now it’s something a little different than I’ve ever made before 🌈🌈🌈

It Velcro fastens, is made of faux leather and has a lovely soft felt interior. It’s actually big enough to fit an iPhone & set of keys in.
