We installed six VS2 sliding blinds last week for David in Frinton. 😍

The beauty of sliding blinds is their flexibility. You can adjust the coverage to suit your needs throughout the day, enjoying natural daylight when you want it and a little more privacy when you don't. 👌

They're a neat, modern solution and another example of why it's worth exploring the different options available rather than assuming all blinds work in the same way. 😉

Thank you for choosing us, David! 😊

One recommendation leads to another!! 💙

Wendy needed a new kitchen blind and came to us after a friend recommended Tendring Blinds & Shutters.

Now, after having her blind fitted, she's kindly taken the time to leave us this lovely five-star Google review and is recommending us to others too! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

That's how so much of our business has grown over the years... happy customers telling friends, family and neighbours about us. 🥳

Thank you, Wendy, for your lovely words, and thank you to whoever recommended us in the first place! 😊

Last week we fitted cellular blinds and two manual roof lantern blinds for Debbie in Weeley.

Roof lanterns are brilliant for letting natural light flood into a room, but sometimes you want a little more control over all that sunshine! 🥵

And while we fit plenty of motorised blinds, manual options can work just as well and are a great way of keeping costs down. 🤗

It's all about finding the right solution for the room, how you want to use it and, of course, your budget. 😉

Another lovely installation completed. Thank you for choosing us, Debbie! 😊

We don't have a showroom because we'd rather bring it to you. 😊

No driving somewhere, trying to remember the exact colour of your walls or wondering whether that fabric you loved in the shop will actually work when you get it home. 😉

We bring our samples straight to your door, so you can see colours, fabrics, and styles in the actual room they're going into, alongside your furniture and décor, in your own lighting.

It also means we don't have the expense of running a showroom, and those are costs we'd ultimately have to pass on to our customers. 🤗

We measure while we're there, talk through what you want from your windows and help you narrow down the choices. No pressure, no sales gimmicks, and no trying to upsell you something you don't need.

Your home IS our showroom. 💙

We don't think you should pay for anything you might not need! 😊

We recently returned to Mr and Mrs Chapman in Clacton to retrofit this mini slider behind their shutters, giving them an extra level of light block when the shutters are closed. 👌

And this is actually our preferred way of doing things.

When we're quoting for shutters and a customer wants the room darker, we could automatically recommend a full shutter and shade combination from the start... but that's the more expensive option, and you may not even need it. 🤷‍♂️

Shutters already reduce a considerable amount of light, so we'll often suggest fitting those first and seeing how you get on.

If they're enough, brilliant – we've saved you money. 👍

If you decide afterwards that you'd like to block out more light, just as Mr and Mrs Chapman did, we can retrofit a mini slider behind the shutters. It's a cheaper option than having the full shutter and shade combination and still gives you that additional light control. 👏

The photos show really well how it sits discreetly behind the shutters and the difference it can make.

We'd much rather recommend what you actually need than sell you the most expensive option just because we can. 😉🤗

There's something special about a review from a customer who's known us for years. ❤️

Marion first chose Tendring Blinds & Shutters when she moved into her home, and now the time has come for something new, she's chosen us all over again... this time including shutters too. 👌

It's lovely when somebody is delighted on fitting day, but when they remember the service they received years later and know exactly who they want to call next time, that means an awful lot.

Thank you, Marion, for coming back to us and for taking the time to leave such a lovely review. We're delighted to have such a happy customer back again! 😊

Five Perfect Fit Cellular blinds were fitted for Michelle in Brightlingsea this week, and they are a brilliant example of how flexible your window coverings can be.

With the top-down, bottom-up option, you aren't limited to opening or closing your blinds. You can cover the part of the window where you need privacy while leaving the rest open to natural daylight (or adjust them throughout the day as the light changes).

They're particularly useful for overlooked windows, because you can feel completely comfortable in your home without having to shut yourself away behind a fully closed blind. 👏

There are so many different blind options available now that there really isn't a one-size-fits-all answer. That's why we bring everything to you, look at the windows, listen to what matters most to you and help you find something that ticks as many boxes as possible without spending more than you need to. 🤗

What a beautiful room to work with! 😍

We recently fitted five shutters for David and Jeanette in Clacton, covering four windows and a set of double doors, all within this wonderfully shaped, light-filled room.

Now David and Jeanette can adjust the shutters throughout the day, controlling glare, privacy, and the amount of sunshine coming into the room without losing that lovely bright, airy feel. 🤗

And with shutters across all five openings, everything ties together beautifully too.
Thank you both for choosing us... we think they look absolutely stunning in this gorgeous room. 😊

A huge thank you to John for leaving us another fantastic Google review and for sharing these brilliant pictures of the roof lantern blind we fitted for him. 🙏
