👩🏽‍🎨 These little pots are over 100 years old, but the designs are modern — created by me here in Towcester.

Originally Victorian stoneware jars once used in kitchens and homes long before our time, they’ve been carefully cleaned and given a new life with locally inspired designs celebrating Towcester and the surrounding villages.

😯 Each pot is completely unique, with its own marks, crazing and imperfections collected over a century of history. Perfect as match pots, little flower vases or thoughtful local gifts.

‼️ Available while stock lasts — these original Victorian pots are becoming increasingly difficult to source.

The High Street is struggling.
And I think a lot of people can feel it now.

Empty units.
Independent shops quietly disappearing.
Rising costs, rising pressure… and less room for small businesses to survive.

People often see the “cosy little shop”.
What they don’t see is the constant calculation behind it. The risk. The quiet panic on slow weeks. The amount of independent shop owners wondering how much longer they can keep going.

I’m feeling it too.

This little shop was built with a lot of hope, creativity and courage. And despite everything, I still believe independent shops matter. They bring personality, community and something human back into our towns.

So if you shop small, share a post, pop into a local shop, tell a friend about it — it genuinely matters more than you probably realise. 🤍

Sometimes I don’t know what else to do. I’m not going to paint the window pink. But continuous improvement is a thing so - I’ll add some lightning to the shop window. 👍🏼

A few little things I picked because they made me smile…
funny bookmarks, tiny ceramic tokens, thoughtful gifts for new parents, and a small Father’s Day corner (yes, it’s coming up already).

I do have an online shop, and you can purchase our bestsellers and our vintage items there.

But I don’t have storage or a clever system, so when there’s an order for a vintage product, you might see me running around in the shop trying to find it. ✌🏼

Someone commented on Facebook the other day: “I wish your shop was more colourful and quirky.”

So I had a little look around… and turns out — it already is.

Just maybe not in the loud, neon, in-your-face kind of way. Maybe more the you notice it when you slow down kind.

Little pops of colour.
Slightly unexpected pieces.
Things that make you smile when you actually look.

People often say my shop is “tucked away” … even though I’m right in the middle of the high street. Funny how visibility isn’t always about location — sometimes it’s about giving people a reason to stop and notice.

So I’ve added a few focal points outside the entrance to catch the eye, spark curiosity, and make it feel a little more inviting.

What do you think? Am I tucked away?
