๐ฃ๐ฟ๐ผ๐ท๐ฒ๐ฐ๐: A lovely house Iโve been working on, for a family of three, with an almost open plan space that needed zoning into three areas. ๐ก โฃ

We wanted to create a homely cosy ๐น๐ถ๐๐ถ๐ป๐ด ๐ฟ๐ผ๐ผ๐บ to relax in at the end of the day ๐๐ป.โฃ
They have a whole wall of bifold doors to the garden so itโs lovely and bright room, which means introducing some darker walls will give the cosy feel, with the lighter fabrics of the sofa (much lighter in real life) and curtains to contrast and keep things light. A large rug sits under the sofa and fills the majority of the floor. Then I added the lovely pink for the softness and to bring in some colour. The occasional chair is extra seating and a real statement ๐๐ป!โฃ

๐ง๐ต๐ฒ ๐๐ป๐๐ด is just behind a little wall from the living room and faces the kitchen, this makes it the perfect nook to read and have a cuppa with friends and socialise whilst relaxing on the comfy sofa. Opposite the sofa is open shelving with the back wall painted in the same grey as the living room for continuity and to add a bit of depth and division. The low pendent light over a coffee table (coffee table- owners own) gives the area its own identity, along with the the rug zoning the snug area. โฃ

Then lastly ๐๐ต๐ฒ ๐ฑ๐ถ๐ป๐ถ๐ป๐ด ๐ฎ๐ฟ๐ฒ๐ฎ, the patio doors behind the table make it a nice and light space, with the trio of lights being a nice statement piece hanging low over the table. A lighter rug than the other two spaces and the accent of pink being bought through with the end chairs tie it all together.โฃ

You can see each space has a plant (or two.) Plants ๐ฑ breed life and colour into any space. Some can even improve air quality and I think are the vital part of completing most rooms perfectly! โฃ

I set these vision boards out to give the home owner a good idea of the layout of each space so she could really see how the final result will look. โฃOnce the decorating, light pendants (with dimmers) and furniture is in, we can do the exciting part and dress the rooms.
Lighting is so important so I leave lamps until last so we can see what is needed where.
