Nobody tells you this when you become an interior designer... the actual designing bit is probably about 20% of the job.
The rest is spreadsheets, specifications, procurement schedules, supplier chasing, contractor coordination — documentation that needs to be accurate, up to date, and shared with about five different people at once.
We’ve recently started using .design for our floor plans, elevations and joinery drawings — but honestly the bit that’s made the real difference is having everything we’ve specified in one place, with quantities automatically calculated from the drawings.
Quietly brilliant, that bit.
Anyone else using it? Would love to know 🤍
