Nobody tells you this when you become an interior designer... the actual designing bit is probably about 20% of the job.

The rest is spreadsheets, specifications, procurement schedules, supplier chasing, contractor coordination — documentation that needs to be accurate, up to date, and shared with about five different people at once.

We’ve recently started using .design for our floor plans, elevations and joinery drawings — but honestly the bit that’s made the real difference is having everything we’ve specified in one place, with quantities automatically calculated from the drawings.

Quietly brilliant, that bit.

Anyone else using it? Would love to know 🤍

Wool, oak, brass, stripe. The kind of layering that doesn’t shout — just settles in and makes a room feel like it’s been loved for years.
Schemes that feel like home, not a showroom.
This one’s coming together beautifully — more to share soon.

Since my update last June, I’ve been working hard to make some meaningful changes — creating a pace of life that actually allows me to be a mum and run this business in a way that’s enjoyable, rather than stumbling from one burnout to the next. Something I’m particularly prone to as an AuDHDer, which I’ve been working hard to understand and manage. Turns out, understanding yourself is quite the project.

I took an intentional little pause from sharing what we’ve been working on so I could focus my energy on all of that. Now that those changes are in place, I finally feel like I have the headspace to show up here again. And honestly? I’m really excited to be back — and to reconnect with this wonderful community.

And so to get the ball rolling, I thought I’d share a little update I made to the studio over Easter — additional storage for our many many sample trays. This kind of thing brings me so much joy!

So here’s to the next chapter — a whole lot more joy, without completely losing the plot 🤍

If you’ve been wondering what we’ve been up to… here’s the short answer: everything.

The long answer is in the carousel — installs, drawings, sourcing trips, specification sign-offs, new projects landing, a Party Barn racing towards its inaugural celebration, a nativity star (or camel?) stealing the show, and two dogs who remain convinced the studio is actually their nap room.

It’s been a whirlwind, but such a good one.
Swipe through for all the bits that have kept us busy — and slightly sleep-deprived — lately.

Thank you so much to everyone who reached out after my little story the other day — I’ve read every message and they honestly meant so much. I’m slowly working my way through replying, but if you haven’t heard back yet, please know how appreciated your words were.

In the spirit of keeping things real, here’s an unstyled snap of my desk from earlier this week — samples everywhere, cups of tea going cold, and lots of beautiful projects taking shape behind the scenes.

It’s been a big year of learning and rebalancing for me, but I finally feel like I can see the wood for the trees. The months ahead are about rebuilding my energy and finding a gentler rhythm — with space for both creativity and rest.

Even though it’s been quiet on here, there’s been so much happening in the studio, and I’ve got quite a back catalogue of lovely things to share soon.

Wishing you all a cosy Sunday — it’s family time for me today before a busy week ahead in the studio, catching up on projects and a trip to Decorex on Tuesday — I can’t wait to see what our favourite suppliers have been working on 💫

Postcards from July ✨ A month that was part studio hustle, part sandy toes and ice creams.

There were early mornings pulling together concepts for new projects, late evenings on site watching spaces take shape… and in between, pockets of summer with the boys, salty hair and suncream smudges.

It always feels like such a juggle this time of year – holding the excitement of new design work while also trying to slow down and soak up these long, golden days.

Here’s to a month of both. Work we love. Memories we’ll keep. 🌿

The summer holidays always seem to shift the pace of everything, don’t they? We’ve just come back from a few days camping in Norfolk with friends – fresh air, sleepy mornings and lots of laughs – and now the countdown to Rhodes is on. The boys are beside themselves with excitement.

This little corner is from a project we finished for a family with three children. The brief was simple but lovely: a space that felt playful and inviting for the kids, while still calm and considered for the rest of the home.

I love how soft tones and gentle textures can make a room feel like somewhere everyone actually wants to be – toys and all.

✨ “Confidence doesn’t come from having it all figured out — it comes from showing up anyway.”

This moment was captured in the studio during a beautiful event we hosted with Mumrise, where I spoke to a group of incredible mums about finding confidence at work.

It’s a topic that’s close to my heart — as a business owner and a mum myself, I know that confidence often looks less like perfection and more like taking the next step (even when it feels wobbly).

If you were in the room, what would you have asked?

We’ve had a full-on week behind the scenes, tying up loose ends and getting ahead before the school holidays kick off.

Wishing you all a happy Friday and a restful weekend when it comes! ✨
