A space reimagined for every moment.

The final phase of our work transformed an underused tea room into a dynamic, multi-functional space at the heart of the hotel. Designed to evolve throughout the day, it now hosts everything from relaxed afternoon tea to evening drinks and informal meetings.

Positioned just off the street, the room offers a glimpse into the hotel’s atmosphere, where the bespoke bobbin ceiling creates a striking focal point that draws people in from Knightsbridge.

The new bespoke bobbin shelving opens up snippets of atmosphere and the banquette seating adds a level of comfort and luxury enticing guests to stay a while. The newly designed oak panelling with subtle fluted detailing adds depth, texture, and quiet luxury throughout.

A refined first impression.

As the second phase of our refurbishment at The Capital Hotel in Knightsbridge, the reception was reimagined to better support day-to-day operations while elevating the guest arrival experience.

The design introduces warmth, improved flow, and a more intuitive layout for staff, creating a seamless welcome from the moment guests step inside.

A light-touch refresh to the guest washrooms preserves original marble features, celebrating the building’s heritage while gently enhancing the overall look and feel.

A home away from home in the heart of Knightsbridge.

The first phase of this project saw the refurbishment of 10 private apartments within a five-storey building adjacent to The Capital Hotel, setting the tone for the wider transformation to follow.

Each space was designed to reflect the comfort, elegance, and character the hotel is known for, inspired by the natural beauty of nearby Hyde Park and the architectural charm of Knightsbridge.

With textured panelling, soft neutral tones, and nature-led accents, the apartments offer a calm, inviting retreat, combining boutique living with the warmth and familiarity of home.

✈️ March Stats have landed! ✈️

Last month, we saw 29,768 passengers through our terminal, marking a 70% increase from the same period last year 📈

The split between international and domestic flights remains neck and neck, demonstrating our airport's connectivity and significance beyond just a 'small regional airport.' 😏

Exciting news! At the end of March, we started construction of our brand-new Café and Retail area. We are upgrading and expanding our facilities, as part of our Next Generation Security Upgrade project, meaning we gain an additional 62 square meters of space thanks to RRW Shopfitters, Absolute, Brand Biscuit ☕🛍

This expansion reflects our commitment to improving your travel experience and accommodating our growing number of passengers.

Perched on the edge of the Fowey River, The Galleon Pub now offers more than just a meal – it’s an experience that celebrates the essence of Cornwall’s maritime charm.
Absolute has worked on the re-brand and interior refurbishment of the pub transforming the space, blending local heritage with a classic pub feel. The Old Lifeboat Room pays homage to the area’s maritime history, featuring new bespoke panelling and banquette seating. A pub with waterside dining and breathtaking river views, here there’s a seat for every scenario whether you’re fancying alfresco dining, a pint by the bar, a cosy evening feel or a brighter dining experience in the conservatory. Walls filled with antique shop finds and carefully curated design elements create a backdrop that’s both timeless and full of character.
