A little shop update ✨

⭐ Owing to increasing costs, I have had to take the decision to make a small rise in most products, the first for two years. Tea lights and votive stay the same price. The price increase will be effective from Saturday 5th April.

⭐Our spring shop hours from Monday 7th April will change to:
Monday to Saturday 10am - 5pm

⭐ St Just Church and Gardens porcelain Tea Light Holders will be back in stock from Saturday 5th 💫 I will contact everyone on the wait list first, then will add to the website and shop stock. Available as a tea light holders or filled candle pot. A huge thank you Amy Cooper Ceramics for getting these done so quickly 🙏😘

⭐ Not quite 'hold the front page' news, but I'm in the shop today preparing the Easter Window 🐣 🐰 Expect vintage lovelies, cute bunnies and more vintage planters with tulips and narcissi..and don't forget tomorrow is Fresh Flowers Friday for the most gorgeous spring blooms from Helen Robins and Mel at the Calendra Collective 🌸🌷🌼💐🪻

Meet me at the beach 🩵 after a morning making diffusers and catching up with Carol in the shop, I stopped by Summers Beach on the way home to enjoy the pure spring gorgeousness of the day ✨ bumped into my pal Vanessa who was debating a dip and kindly took a pic 🙏🩵

With so many new Insta followers (thank you all 😊) I thought it was time to say hello and a bit about me and my world. I'm Lucinda and I am lucky enough to call St Mawes home. It's the loveliest harbour village on the south Cornish coast. Here I'm standing on Summers Beach, my favourite, a place I often visit to walk along the shoreline, breath and feel grounded.

A Cornish maid, after 20 years in the beauty and fragrance industry (Jo Malone, Aveda, Clarins, Decleor), in London and abroad, I have now lived in St Mawes for 18 years with my hubby Paul. I've dabbled with creating fragrances and candle making since coming home and finally plucked up the courage to start my scent room business 4 years ago. I now have my own little shop ( just off the quay), stockists and website and am finishing off my candle making studio, after years of melting and pouring in the kitchen ✨

A beautiful sunny, frosty day in St Mawes and our second to last day in the shop, before we hunker down for our winter break 🩵

We close from Sunday 5th January until mid February. During that time we will be planning the year ahead, finishing off and setting up the candle making studio and starting work on a new scent and new products, all very exciting 💫✨

There will also be a little trip to London for a bit of city life, culture and more retail inspo 🌟

The online shop will remain open, so you can still order your scented goodies, and I can arrange local pick ups and deliveries if you need them.

Pop in whilst we are still open if you can, there is still 20% off EVERYTHING and a special £5 ceramics sale basket, for some real bargains!

Christmas Shop and Delivery Dates 🎁 The last posting date will be Friday 20th December and, from Wednesday 18th, all orders will be sent First Class Tracked, at no extra cost. Please place all online orders by 10am on Friday 🌟

The shop will be open 10.30am - 4.30pm Monday to Saturday this week and Monday 23rd December, and 10am- 12 noon on Christmas Eve for any last minute purchases (reopening on 28th) 🎁

I have updated the website with more stock, including tea lights, hurrah 🤩 There was a supply issue with the tea light cups. I found some alternatives but they were too small. I have now found another alternative that is a bit bigger, so these are available for the forseeable. I refuse to short change you, I'd much rather give you more for your hard earned money 🌟💛

Please message me if something appears out of stock, as I may have more on the way ✨ I will also be posting some items on here this week that are not online, but can still be sent to you. Nobody misses out, but you know you have to be quick with some of the vintage pieces 🤩

Someone asked if I did Gift Vouchers 🤔 Well now I do 🌟✨

These are now available in store, and can be for a value of your choice. Would you like to gift a candle or diffuser but not sure what fragrance to choose? You can specify a product rather than monetary value ✨

As I can barely switch on a computer, these are not currently available to buy or redeem online. You can contact me direct to request a gift voucher to be sent to you, or direct to a loved one, with your personal message. And if the recipient can't get to the shop, then we can pop their chosen items in the post 😃

Winter Shopping ✨ We have adjusted our shop hours a little for winter 🌟 As candle needs ramp up before Christmas, the slightly later start allows me to do two candle batches in the morning before the shop opens and Sundays are our quietest day out of high season ✨ As always, you can contact me out of hours, and I will help if I can.

Although the candle making studio build is coming along, and almost finished, there is still a bit to be done before it is candle ready. I'll show you some progress pics this week. So small home batches continue for a little while longer.

All very exciting, as is our shops first birthday coming up 🥳 so lots of special treats to celebrate this week, along with a shop window refresh, although I have loved our Castle Cove cosy window and magic shell tree so very much 🤗

Thank you for all the Harbour Lights love, I knew these would cause a stir 🙏💛

I'm away for a belated birthday weekend for Mr C, so Carol is in charge on Friday and Saturday and we will be closed on Sunday 3rd 💫

All online order prints will be sent out after the weekend.

As there was a little frenzy for Harbour candles this week 😁 stock is limited I'm afraid until after the weekend. It's been a quite fantastic phenomenal week, and I have tried to keep up with demand on the candle shelves 🥴 If you pop into the shop and your favourite is out of stock, we can post it to you, free of postage charge, next week.

Thank you my loves for the best week, it's been a joy and I know Carol is looking forward to seeing everyone. We have fresh flowers today with the most beautiful autumn gorgeousness from Helen and Mel🏵️🧡 and so much to enjoy in our little shop ✨

Introducing Castle Cove Porcelain Tea Light Holders and filled Candle Pots from the wonderful 💫✨ There are many ways to view our magnificent St Mawes Castle; from the sea, from walking up to the castle from the village, from the coastal path to St Just In Roseland, looking up from Castle Cove of course ⭐ and possibly my favourite which is from the top car park whilst sipping a coffee from ( back in the day 🥹)

One thing I was certain of when Amy and I started collaborating on our latest project, was that the view of the castle from that side would be what I wanted for the porcelain pieces 💫 it's one of my go to places for grounding and has kept me together on so many occasions 🙏💛 Back when we were allowed our one walk a day, I would often walk up to the castle and just stand there touching a stone wall, taking strength from it's foundations. It has stood proudly for 500 years, not needed in battle, but protecting our village and surrounding waters to this day. A place I still often go to when I need to gather my strength again 💛

So now we can all take a moment to reflect and gather ourselves with a Castle Cove Porcelain pot with Amy's wonderful castle image. As a tea light holder with scented tea lights or filled pot scented with the soft comforting spices of Tonka, amber and sandalwood, with a touch of patchouli and musk ✨

How delicious and perfect!

Both are now in the shop and will be available online by Thursday.

Not really an extension of the Lighthouse Collection, but a perfect addition to any Amy Cooper Collection. Thank you once again Amy for creating another exquisitely beautiful piece for us 🙏💫💛
