A little luxury for the heart of the home ✨

Our bespoke kitchen stools are individually made to order, combining traditional craftsmanship with a clean, contemporary finish.

This piece features a beautifully upholstered leather seat, a fluted black velvet back, solid show-wood legs and a brass foot rail — a combination of textures that gives the stool a seriously luxurious feel.

As with all our bespoke furniture, the design can be tailored to suit your interior, with a choice of fabrics, leathers, finishes and detailing.

Handmade by Ballards. Made for your home.

Absolutely — for Ballards I’d make this about craftsmanship and the fact you genuinely manufacture, rather than just the finished day bed.

It starts with the frame. 🪚

At Ballards, bespoke upholstery really does mean bespoke.

We manufacture our upholstery in-house, including building our own frames from the ground up. This day bed started as raw timber before progressing through each stage of construction, upholstery and finishing.

Building the frame ourselves gives us complete control over the proportions, comfort and detailing — allowing each piece to be made specifically for the room, the client and the intended use.

These photographs show some of the craftsmanship that normally disappears beneath the fabric once the finished piece leaves our workshop.

Made by hand. Made in our own workshop. Made to last.

Where craftsmanship meets history.

A beautifully detailed architectural room in London, where Ballards installed luxurious silk fabric walling — carefully working around the original architectural features to preserve the heritage and character of this remarkable space.

Every section was measured, cut and fitted by hand, allowing the silk to sit perfectly within the existing detailing rather than overpowering it.

And an incredible piece of history: the Penny Black — the world’s first adhesive postage stamp — was designed in this very room.

Over 180 years later, it was a privilege for Ballards to play a small part in the next chapter of this extraordinary interior.

Bespoke craftsmanship. Historic surroundings. Made to last.

From our workroom to the French Riviera. 🇫🇷

A look back at this beautiful apartment project in Cannes, where Ballards supplied and installed a collection of bespoke curtains and upholstered beds throughout the property.

Every element was made to complement the interior — from the proportions and fabric choices to the final fitting and finishing on site.

Bespoke made in England. Installed in Cannes. ✨
