As 2025 comes to a close, we’d like to say a huge thank you to everyone who has supported Gem Flooring this year.

It’s been a really positive year of growth for us, and moving into our new premises in Tuxford has been a big step forward and a great boost for the business. We’re proud of how far we’ve come and grateful to everyone who’s been part of that journey.

We’ve got plenty of ideas and plans lined up for 2026, and we’ll keep pushing forward — doing what we do best. What won’t change is who we are, how we work, or the way we look after our customers. Same people, same values.

A lovely one to finish just before Christmas 🎄

We recently completed this job for a really lovely couple who have just (or very nearly!) finished their self-build home. A truly high-end finish throughout and an absolute pleasure to work in such a beautiful house. The clients made some fantastic choices here, and I’m sure you’ll agree the end result looks absolutely wicked.

The stair carpet is Westex Loxley Loop in China Clay, finished with a Pickle-coloured herringbone cloth tape border, perfectly complemented by solid brass stair rods from the brilliant team at Stair Rod UK up north. A classic combination that works superbly in this space.

This job came to us via a local Facebook group recommendation, and I was genuinely blown away by how many times Gem Flooring was tagged and recommended. It really does mean a lot, and it’s great to see first-hand that those recommendations and mentions have a real, positive impact on our business. Thank you to everyone who continues to support and recommend us — it doesn’t go unnoticed.

A great way to wrap up the year 👌
Today we completed our final job of 2025 here at Gem Flooring, and it was a cracking one to finish on.

The stairs and landing were fitted with a beautiful wool Berber carpet fromWestex, from the Eskdale range in the colour Lunar. It was finished off with black cloth-tape herringbone edging, solid brass stair rods, and solid brass door plates, both in a pewter finish.

It looked absolutely stunning and was a really nice job to round off a great year.

Great little road trip up to Aberlady, just to the right-hand side of Edinburgh 🚐⬆️

We’ve had a brilliant few days installing some really high-quality products, and this one was a pleasure from start to finish. The customer chose Westex Ultima Twist carpets in Malachite and Willow – such a classy combination. The colours work beautifully together and the quality of these carpets really speaks for itself.

We’re genuinely chuffed with how it all turned out and loved every minute of this job. Big thanks to the customer for the trust – on to the next adventure! 👌✨

🚛 Another Delivery Day at Gem Flooring!

We’ve just taken in a fresh load of beautiful high-end Westex wool carpets for three upcoming installs — and they are seriously nice quality.

One of these is going onto a staircase with cloth tape binding and solid brass stair rods, and it’s going to look absolutely stunning. And the other 2 are heading to Rotherham to be installed into 2 bedrooms for a long standing customer.
