HELLO OCTOBER 🍁 GOODBYE SEPTEMBER

What a month I have had, packing in so much

FOURTH WEEKEND IN A ROW

Knowing I’d be housebound for a while after my surgery, we made the most of the weekends running up to it. Düsseldorf, York, Edinburgh & then finally London. We had the best time from lunch & cocktails at Battersea Power Station, secret bars with passwords, uber boats on the Thames, 1940’s themed experience, borough market, Covent Garden to cocktails in bags at Camden Market.

The weather was amazing meaning we could walk for miles, we had such a great time we can’t wait to go back next year

Now it’s time to put my feet up for 4-6weeks & let my back heal before our next adventure & this one is a biggie 🌴🛳️ x

CAHOOTS

We had a last minute trip away to London last weekend & I got to tick something off my bucket list. I’d seen Cahoots London on social media so many times & it was just by chance that we were staying near by so I just had to go. I can tell you it was so much fun, thought that had gone in to every part of is just fabulous. I don’t want to give too much away for anyone wanting to visit but from the moment you step through the doors you transported into the 1940’s. The cocktails wete AMAZING (my husband was so drunk 😂),wether they were wizzing round the ceiling, arriving in very quirky glasses or accompanied by a letter, every one of them was fun & delicious. The walls, the tables & especially the toilets, were a feast for the eyes. I highly recommend a visit & we cannot wait to go back year

THURSDAY THROWBACK

Part 2 of how adding colour to our room has transformed our home. I did love the grey & white kitchen when it first went in over 13yrs ago, but looking back it was pretty clinical & depressing. Adding the colour blocking was great for about 5mins but really just didn’t cut it. Fast forward to 2024 (still can’t believe it’s 2yrs already) & the room is unrecognisable. Yes we switched around the layout, but the colour has had the biggest impact & I have zero regrets about adding a pink island. This room has gone from plain & boring to bright & uplifting

NEW COFFEE TABLE STYLING 🍁

Changing things up in here a little this season but adding this tray the mats been behind the sofa for far too long. Adding temporary candlesticks (until I find some better ones), has added a little bit of height. The books make the perfect stand for my Home Bargains wooden pumpkin candle.
Dont you just love the warmth of autumn colours added with woods & other textures.
Although I have to say, summer hit the north east again yesterday so I was back in my shorts 😂

ABOUT LAST WEEK…..

Another jam packed week. Gotta hand it to my husband, he is really making sure we get as much out of September as we can before my operation & an October of rest & recuperation.

I played my first round of golf

Bought my first golf top (already bought more)

Took the train to Edinburgh (one of my fave places)

Drank many cocktails in many fabulous bars

Ate ice cream from my favourite parlour SCOTLANDS ICE CREAM CHAMPION 21’🏆

Ate & drank in one of my favourite restaurants Mowgli Street Food

Accidentally tried to drink from the tea lighter holder instead of the glass of water

Bought my first ever ballet flats (I know can you believe it!!!)

Then had a fabulous Sunday lunch before lighting the candles & curling up on the sofa

This week is also jam packed, including an MRI in preparation for my op

Train trip / day out / Scotland / cocktail lover / Indian food / curry / marriage / me & you / husband & wife

ALMOST TIME…..

To get that fire going. I played a bit of golf last night & it felt quite warm in the course. Fast forward an hour or so & I was huddled under a throw freezing. Feeling slightly sad that summer is ending but very happy to see this fire roaring once again (although the husband is still saying no 🤔)
