One of the highlights from our recent sewists get-together was definitely Paul, strutting around proud as punch (and rightly so) with his first self-made shirt 😁 Pattern-matched and all. He’s currently the only male student I have, but if you’re local and have any sewing-curious men in your life, send them my way, more men should sew!

Another week of done with daily outfit posts and behind the scenes still more sorting through unworn makes, but no actual sewing done because work on my ‘What’s Going On’ quilt continues.
I rediscovered some old makes and brought them back into the fold. Like the I wore on day 7, and the on day 9. I also managed to not wear my every day and got some more wear out of my jumper which was an added bonus! Looking forward to some warmer weather so I can break out the pretty dresses though! And for next year I’m thinking my cold weather wardrobe could do with some excitement!

I'm now taking bookings for the next lot of six-week mixed ability sewing courses. Most are already full, but I still have space on Tuesday evening 7-9pm and Friday afternoon 2-4pm. If you want to learn how to sew or improve your garment-making skills then these are for you!

I also have a few spaces on various workshops that I offer in the holidays, for things like learning to use an overlocker, beginner days, UFO (unifinished object) sewing days etc.
