I am always trying different techniques and will be trying watercolour and oil paintings too so keep an eye on my page for something a little unusual. INSPIRATION
Most of my inspiration comes from nature, and the world around me. From the beautiful skies above, the colours of the trees as they change season by season, the beautiful coastline where I live or the countryside a short distance away. I have also travelled extensively as my ‘day job’ for many years was in International Education, this took me all over the world. I had the opportunity to visit many wonderful places and meet fabulous people which were a big influence in my life. I have always been creative and love trying new crafts and methods of art. Mainly self-taught, but also taking classes and watching endless hours of youtube videos to find different techniques and learning from many brilliant people around the world. In 2018 I started to investigate acrylic paint pouring and loved the fluidity, movement, mixture of colours and depth this can create. Since then, I have tried many different techniques and took various workshops and online learning to create new skills. More recently, I have investigated abstract painting and have loved the freedom of expression this gives me but in a more structured way and in control of what I am painting. This is totally different to fluid art where the paint is mostly in control with a little help from me 😊. My paintings are very personal and come from within and its sometimes difficult to know when to stop! I do hope you like my art, if you could like and share that would be brilliant.
