Good morning all, this month (October)😬 we are at Perth Farmers' Market Saturday 3rd -which is Tomorrow😁 and Producers of Angus Markets ( Forfar) on 10th our big event this month is The Scottish Smallholding & Countryside Festival 17th held in Edinburgh. Its is also Wool Month and there are lots of wool events ongoing everywhere and its nice to be able to attend some of these, and celebrate the importance of wool & what it does for us.
For Tomorrow at Perth Farmers' Market I will have my homegrown pillows, Scottish woven lambswool ponchos, scarves, blankets, hats, batts & yarn all to keep you cosy & warm. Its a good opportunity to see touch, feel & buy if you like if your looking for those warming wool gifts . If you cannot make it - then its my etsy shop https://uanwool.etsy.com and Perth market has order forms in the lead up to you know what!. Same at Forfar. At the Scottish Smallholding & Countryside Festival we will have our full range of products. I have entered four fleeces into the Faw Fleece competition which is being judge by Hilary Redden of www.thefibrelab.co.uk Hilary is an expert in breeding for wool. I will be judging "wool on the hoof" again which I know will be a hard task going by the high standards of last year. I also have to down size 😥 my wool crafting stash of raw fleeces so if anyone is wanting natural colour BFL mule please send me a message.
Last but not least FACE - Forfar Association for Continuing Education are seeking participants for their classes if you would like to join myself with the Crafting with Wool Class please register with FACE - Forfar Association for Continuing Education. We will be making wet felt scarves and I will be setting some spooky wool tasks for the 2d & 3D crafters😁.
