I was recently asked to recreate a vintage piece for a 70th birthday gift. Here is the finished hanger in it's home in Australia 🤎 how wonderful does it look. Almost 2.5m tall and a pot 55cm diameter, she's a big beauty alright. It was such a pleasure to make this for you enjoy 🤎

I've been doing a thing. Not a big thing - but big for me. I’ve been making something close to my heart.

Over the past couple of years, a lot of heart, soul, and quiet moments have gone into making. Creating with my hands has been a way to navigate loss, grief, and everything in between.

These pieces hold all of that — every feeling, every fibre, every breath. They tell that story.

I’m so excited (and a little nervous) to finally share them as part of Fibre and Form, opening night November 5th at in Torrington. If you are near by this evening we have a little private view, I’d love to share them with you. Exhibition runs until December 6th.
I will also be at The Plough Christmas fayre on the 7th December.

LORNA GREEN - Fibre and Form

Lorna's creative journey began as a child, growing up in a family of makers and creators. After studying Fashion and Textiles, she ran her own fashion label in the 1990s and later taught Fashion in several London colleges.
Over the years, she became captivated by the tactile, meditative process of macramé and fibre art, finding freedom in working with natural materials such as jute, h**p, and cotton.
Her style blends contemporary boho aesthetics and modern rustic design. She also runs hands-on workshops, passing on her skills and passion to others who want to explore this craft.
My work has been shown at the Chelsea Flower Show. Her show, Fibre and Form, celebrates her journey from fashion into fibre and the joy of creating pieces that connect people with natural textures and handmade beauty.
