I’ve spent a whole lot of time here the past few months (for those that don’t know, I’m recovering from a major car accident) but quite frankly I’m sick of the sight of these 4 walls!

I may not be able to get back to painting and decorating yet, and the design side of my business is still on hold for a short while, but I’m desperate to get back to being creative again. All the diy plans stuck in my brain for my own home need an outlet as my back balance won’t allow any of them atm! 😂

Ive realised this morning that the way instagram is now, I never just faff a corner of my home simply to take a nice picture to ramble about on here, which I used to enjoy! So I might try that again and not worry about what the algorithm thinks to get me back in the game a bit…

So here’s to old school instagram posting and less overthinking it! 🙌🏻✨

A little life update…

I wasn’t sure if I would post or not but it could be a while until I’m back working, and at the moment I’m not sure what that will look like yet so I thought an update was needed.

So about 4 and a half weeks ago I was in a rather nasty car accident. I wont go into detail on here, but I am so lucky and grateful to be here to tell you about it.
I have sustained quite a lot of injuries including breaks to my pelvis, chest, and arm (among others!) After 11 nights in hospital, and then staying with family I’m home and gaining strength each day.

My current clients have been amazing and understanding. I am hoping to one day get back to the painting and decorating side of my business because I love and miss it loads, but I will just have to wait and see for now.
When the kids go back in September I’m hoping to be ready to pick up the design side of my business again and have a bit of a fresh start.
Until then, it’s a lot of feet up and slow days while I try to heal with loads of help from all the fab friends and family around us 🩷

My husband and I escaped the kids for 24 hours at the weekend for our anniversary! We stayed in this lovely hotel in Rutland Water and ate yummy Italian foot in Stamford. Wine and Aperol in the sunshine too, of course 😏

As always, I had to take photos of the interiors. I really loved the wallpaper, and fun fact: I've spec's these bedside lamps for a current client!

Ps. I'm posting plain old regular photos, as i refuse to succumb to the current algorithm of writing captions and stories over everything! 🙃

Recent transformation for a client, touching up a tired hall, landing and stairs plus decorating where they recently had a door blocked up. You'd never know it was there now!

Some lovely super crisp paint lines on the panelling, if I di say so myself 😏

I recently added some shelves and pictures to my daughters room that I've been meaning to put up for so long! Why do these little tasks take so long to get to?!
You may have seen me say before, but I love collecting interesting cards on my travels for an inexpensive and unique way to personalise a space, and it's often a great way to support small businesses at craft fairs or independent gift shops!
Have a collection stored away and swap them out every now and then for a change too.

Framed artwork doesn't always have to be expensive, and it doesn't have to be from a mass produced company that everyone else has.

✨️New Era loading.... 🥹

Half term is over here, and my daughter is joining her big brother at school in the nursery today. Feeling very emotional about it actually, and it will be a new routine for all of us to adjust to.

The next few weeks, I'll have limited hours working while she does short days settling in, then hopefully I can get in a new flow of work!

Currently working on a design project for a client in a local village that im looking forward to getting stuck in to this week!
