This intricately designed, three-panel iron screen from circa 1910 is a piece of German Arts and Crafts, or Jugendstil, metalwork. It is attributed to the notable German architect and designer Richard Riemerschmid (1868-1957), a key figure in the Jugendstil movement who was influenced by the British Arts and Crafts movement. Riemerschmid was known for creating functional, well-made designs and was a founder of the Deutsche Werkstätten für Kunst im Handwerk and the Deutscher Werkbund.

This stunning cylindrical vase is a fine example of Mid-Century Modern design from the renowned German glass manufacturer, Peill & Putzler. An original vintage model FD134 Danish “Boomerang” chair designed by Peter Hvidt & Orla Mølgaard Nielsen in 1954. Manufactured by France and Søn in solid teak and brass.

A comfortable, practical and stylish chair with wonderful patina with its original springs. The legs have not been restored therefore retaining their wonderful aged patina. There are some minor scratches to the frame which are consistent with a 75 year-old vintage item.

The cushions are completely new having been professionally upholstered with new foam and premium Orta Oatmeal fabric from Linwood Fabrics.

The previous owner purchased the chair from new in the late 1950s and shipped it to the UK on repatriation in 1961.

1990s French coral gilded “Morea” candleholder designed by Stéphane Galerneau. The candleholder is from the Création Galant collection, produced around 1995. The candleholder is created from a number of pewter coral branches welded together before being gilded and patinated to give depth and brightness to the relief. The coral is attached to a thin rod on the reverse with a single candleholder at the top.

The base is inscribed “Galerneau Paris”. Galerneau

1960s German Doria Leuchten Crystal Glass & Polished Brass Ceiling Flush Mount Light

A striking 1960s German Doria Leuchten flush mount ceiling light. The light features 32 textured, crystal glass tubes, suspended from a white metal lacquered frame, surrounding a crystal glass textured horizontal disc secured inside a polished brass ring on the underside.

The light is in very good vintage condition. Rewired and in full working order. The wire metal which is attached to the back of the crystal tubes that hangs from the frame is rusty but not visible.

The light requires 6 E27/E26 screw-in bulbs which sit within the frame illuminating the crystal glass tubes and disc below beautifully. I would recommend LED bulbs for environmental purposes, heat reduction and longevity.

Perfect for all rooms of the home perhaps those with a low ceiling. The light looks stunning when unlit too.
