This weekend, we’re bringing together the things we love most about autumn at Blacker Hall Farm: seasonal food, Yorkshire producers, chef demonstrations, tastings, live music and plenty to discover around the farm.

Join us on Saturday 3rd and Sunday 4th October for our very first Harvest Festival, a celebration of the harvest, the people behind our food and the produce that makes this time of year so special.

The first burn matters. 🤍

When lighting your Breathe Yorkshire candle for the first time, allow the wax to melt slowly and evenly across the surface, reaching the edges of the vessel before extinguishing.

For our 30cl candles, this will usually take around 3–4 hours.

That first full melt pool helps encourage a clean, even burn throughout the life of your candle — so you can enjoy every last moment of fragrance.

Well, that was a very Yorkshire bank holiday… 🌧️

After a weekend of stormy skies, sideways rain and some rather impressive mud, it reminded me of a trip to Brontë Country earlier this year.

Haworth in the rain. Wet cobbles. Mist over the moors. A walk out towards Brontë Falls in weather that felt very appropriately Wuthering Heights.

Cold, soaked and windswept by the time we got back, there really was only one thing for it…

A candle lit, a glass poured and Wuthering Heights on the TV.

Sometimes the best part of going out into Yorkshire is coming home again.

Today we’re celebrating the county we’re proud to call home.

☀️ Summer Pause Notice ☀️

We’ll be taking a little summer break from 5th–18th July to rest, recharge, and soak up some sunshine.

While we’re away, here’s a little summer candle care reminder: please keep your candles out of direct sunlight and avoid leaving them on windowsills. Heat and prolonged sun exposure can soften the wax, cause discolouration, and even affect the fragrance, so keeping your candles somewhere cool and shaded will help them stay at their best.

Thank you so much for your continued support—we can’t wait to be back creating your favourite candles. We’ll be back on 19th July.
