Peter Stuart Robinson
17th July 1968 – 8th October 2026

Peter passed away peacefully in Wakefield Hospice on 8th October, aged 58 years. Beloved son of Brian and Nicky, dad of Noah, brother to Lee, uncle of Jamie, a great friend to Keela and to many more.

A service in celebration of Peter’s life will take place at Wakefield Crematorium on Tuesday 3rd November at 2pm. Donations in memory of Peter will be gratefully received for the Wakefield Hospice, a box will be provided at the service. After the service, all are welcome back to Wakefield Trinity to continue to share memories of Peter.

John Beaumont
27th January 1947 – 20th September 2026

John passed away peacefully at home with his family on 20th September aged 79 years. Late of Stanley, beloved husband of Mary and a much loved dad and grandad.

A service in celebration of John’s life will take place 12.40pm, Thursday 13th October at Wakefield Crematorium. Any donation in memory of John in lieu of flowers would be gratefully received for Yorkshire Air Ambulance, a box will be provided at the service.

Ann Lamb
28th February 1959 – 18th September 2026

Ann passed away after a short illness on 18th September aged 67 years. Beloved wife to the late Keith, dearly loved mum to Craig and loving fiancé to John. A service in celebration of Ann’s life will take place at Wakefield Crematorium, Friday 16th October at 1.20pm. Donations in lieu of flowers would be gratefully received for a charity to be decided.

Donald Margrave
14th September 1946 – 10th September 2026

Donald passed away peacefully in Pinderfields Hospital on 10th September, aged 79 years. Much loved husband of Barbara and a dear dad to Stephen and the late Wayne, father in law of Allison and grandad to Luke and Olivia.

A funeral service will take place at 10:45am Tuesday 13th October at the private chapel of rest at Arthur Bell Funeral Directors, 67 Lake Lock Road, Stanley. Family flowers only please, donations in lieu to Macmillan Cancer Support, a plate will be provided.

Andrew McGuigan
9th May 1963 – 8th September 2026

Andrew passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family on the 8th September, aged 63 years.

A much loved husband to Andrea, dear Son of the late Frank and Irene, Dad to Sophie, Jessica and Laura, Grandad to Tyler and Riley and great friend to many.

A service celebrating Andrew’s life will take place on Thursday 24th September at Wakefield Crematorium at 12.40pm. Donations in memory will benefit Prostate Cancer UK, a box will be provided at the service. All are welcome to join the family after the service at Westgate Common WMC to continue to share their memories of Andrew.

Maureen Mary Gelsthorpe (nee Jennings)

Formerly of Outwood and Stanley, Maureen passed away peacefully on 15th August at Walton Manor Care Home after a battle with dementia and following a short illness, aged 91 years.

The beloved wife of the late Roy Gelsthorpe, loving mum to Andrea, mother in law to David and devoted grandma to Alex.

Maureen's funeral service will take place on Wednesday 16th September at 12:40pm at Wakefield Crematorium.

Family flowers only please. Donations in lieu will be for Wakefield Hospice.

On July 29th in Wakefield Hospice, aged 82 years,
GERRY of Wrenthorpe, beloved Husband of Pat dearly loved Dad of Stuart and Georgina and also a much loved Brother, Uncle and Cousin.

A service of celebration for Gerry’s life will take place 12 noon Wednesday September 2nd at Wakefield Cathedral. Donations in lieu of flowers would be gratefully received for Wakefield Hospice and Wakefield Cathedral for which a plate will be provided.

Charles passed away peacefully at Wakefield Hospice with his loving family by his side on Wednesday 29th July 2026, aged 73.

Friends old and new are welcome to join family in a service of celebration in memory of Charles at Pontefract Crematorium on Tuesday 11th August 2026 at 12.20pm, and afterwards at The Kings Croft Hotel, Pontefract, WF8 4HA.

Family flowers only please, donations in lieu of flowers for Wakefield Hospice may be made at the donations box at the service.

Jean Inhester (nee Lilleyman)
27th April 1931 - 22nd July 2026

Jean passed away peacefully at home, wrapped in the love of her family, on 22nd July 2026, aged 95 years. Much loved wife of the late Carl, and dearly loved mum, mum-in-law, grandma, great-grandma, and a dear friend to many. Her love was the quiet light that guided us, and its warmth will stay in our hearts forever.

A service in celebration of Jean’s life will be held at St Oswalds Church, Methley on 13th August at 1:00pm, followed by interment at Whitwood Cemetery, Castleford. All who knew Jean are welcome, as are flowers.

Donations in memory of Jean, would also be gratefully received for Dementia Services at Wakefield Hospice; a box will be available at the service.
