Good morning everyone.
Look at these beautiful pieces of sea glass. Ready to be made into pendants.

I have never seen a big piece with a mix of colours in it before, they are usually very tiny.

Lilac is also very hard to find. The light aqua blue is also very beautiful.

I always wonder what they were before they were lost at sea 🌊

It takes 30 to 100 years for sea glass to form. These are from the Northumberland coast.

If anyone wants a necklace making please let me know. Before they get sold at my craft stalls

"What's my story"
I thought I would give you a little back ground about me. I am Jane. The name of my little business comes from Jared (Jader) my son.
I am 51 years old. So, how would I describe myself? Kind, friendly, quirky, a bit hippyish. It's so hard to describe yourself. Please help friends help me out!....
My journey began after the love of my life, my son Jared died in 2021 from sudep( Sudden unexpected death in Epilepsy) a week before his 21st birthday. My whole world was shattered into a million pieces. In my hopelessness and desperation my friend took me to a silversmiths course. Thats where my love for seaglass began, and I fell in love with it.
It's been my therapy in the darkest of days, it keeps my mind focused. I don't make much from the items I make but I gain so much from the beautiful friends that I have made and seeing the love that people get from the pieces I create. Thank you to everyone who has supported me. It's really appreciated 💕

I suspect this piece was once a glass marble. It is from a beach near Seaham.

Seaham coast was the site of the Bottle Works that started in 1857. The varied glass products from Seaham were shipped from sunderland docks down to London, and raw materials, such as sand, brought up in return. At its peak, the Bottle Works employed 500 workers and produced 20,000,000 bottles a year. All the waste and broken glass was dumped in the sea.
The Seaham Bottle Works closed in 1921.

Today decades later the discarded glass washes up on the beaches as beautiful seaglass. Some pieces could be 166 years old.
