PROJECT REVEAL...

Really pleased with how this recent college common room project has come together.

It’s been a real pleasure working with the college to bring this space back to life and turn it into somewhere students can properly enjoy spending time between lessons.

We wanted to create a space that felt completely different from a traditional classroom. Somewhere students could relax, catch up with friends, work together or simply have a bit of downtime during a busy college day.

Spaces like this are such an important part of college life. Having somewhere comfortable and welcoming to relax, socialise and spend time between lessons gives students a space they can really make their own and enjoy throughout the day.

It’s always great seeing a design go from the initial ideas and plans through to the finished room, especially when you know it’s going to be used by students every single day.

Seeing spaces like this finished also makes me think how much I would have loved something like this when I was back at school! Things have definitely moved on since then 🤣

A great project to be involved with and one we’re really proud of at Werk Solutions.

Another independent learning space complete!

Designed to give students more choice in how and where they learn, with a mix of collaborative tables, quieter work areas, high seating, acoustic panels and storage that doubles as seating.

Not every student learns best in the same environment. Creating spaces like this gives them somewhere to focus, collaborate or simply have a change of setting.

A great example of how schools can turn underused areas into really valuable learning spaces.

It’s easy to admire the finished result.

The completed office. The transformed classroom. The successful business. The award. The growth.

What often goes unnoticed are the hundreds of small decisions that made those outcomes possible.
Turning up prepared.
Listening before speaking.
Following through on promises.
Paying attention to the details others overlook.
Learning from mistakes instead of making excuses.
Doing the right thing, even when nobody is watching.

In business, consistency builds trust.

Clients remember whether you answered the phone when you said you would. They remember whether you delivered on time. They remember whether you were honest when challenges arose.

Success rarely arrives because of one extraordinary day.

It comes from showing up with the same standards, the same work ethic and the same commitment, day after day.

l’ve always believed that reputation isn’t built by what you say about yourself, it’s built by what you consistently do for others.

So here’s my question: What’s one small habit that’s had the biggest impact on your career or your business?

l’ve been thinking about something recently... why is the staffroom often one of the most overlooked spaces in a school?

We spend a lot of time talking about classrooms, and rightly so, but the space where teachers and support staff can grab a coffee, catch up with colleagues, prepare for the next lesson or just take five minutes is just as important.

A staffroom doesn’t need to be fancy, it just needs to work. For me, that means a space that feels organised, comfortable and free from clutter. Somewhere people can clear their heads for a few minutes before the next bell goes, rather than feeling like they’re sat in another classroom.

This is a recent staffroom we designed with exactly that in mind. A practical, welcoming space that supports the people who spend every day supporting our pupils.
Sometimes it’s the little things that make the biggest difference to how a space feels.

Spending time at the Autism & ADHD Show was genuinely one of the highlights of the year so far.

What stood out most wasn’t just the products or presentations, it was the people. Having the opportunity to meet so many passionate, knowledgeable and likeminded individuals who all share the same goal of creating more inclusive environments was incredibly inspiring.

One statistic that really stuck with me is that around 1 in 7 people in the UK are neurodivergent. When you think about it, designing spaces that are accessible, calming and adaptable isn’t about catering for a small group, it’s about creating environments where a huge number of people can learn, work and thrive.

Those conversations reinforced why we do what we do at Werk Solutions. Every classroom, breakout space, office or sensory area we help create has the potential to make someone’s day a little easier, a little calmer, and a little more productive.

A massive thank you to everyone who stopped to chat, shared their experiences, and offered new perspectives.

It’s always refreshing to be surrounded by people who are genuinely passionate about making a difference.
Now it’s time to take those conversations, ideas and inspiration and turn them into even better spaces.

What a fantastic weekend at the ADHD & Autism Show!

It was brilliant to meet so many like-minded people who are passionate about creating inclusive environments and supporting neurodiverse communities.

We loved sharing our innovative furniture and interior solutions, designed to make educational and commercial spaces more accessible, flexible, and inclusive for everyone.

A room that meets nervous systems where they are.

It’s strange how much a space can affect your mood without you even realising it.

You walk into some classrooms or offices and everything feels stressful straight away. It’s too cramped, too noisy, nowhere to properly focus.
Then you walk into a well-designed space and it just feels easier to be there as people work better, students engage more and the whole atmosphere changes.

That’s why good interior design matters so much more than just aesthetics, the best spaces aren’t always the fanciest ones.

They’re the ones designed around the people actually using them every day.
