📦 Another delivery has arrived at Crafty Jacks! 📦

I’m slowly getting everything onto the system so I can get all the lovely new stock out on display. But today, I keep getting sidetracked! 😂

Why? Because I know lots of my travel community are heading off to sunny Malaga for a conference, and apparently something exciting is coming! 👀☀️

What is it? I haven’t got a clue, but I’m intrigued! 😂

Meanwhile, I’m sitting here in my shop thinking, I should have been there! 🇪🇸

I originally decided not to go because I’m off to New York on the 23rd October with my granddaughter. But thinking about it now, I could have gone to Malaga and been home by Monday! 😂

I’ve also got a trip to Weymouth on the 22nd, then back home before Halloween. So there’s plenty going on!

But oh, that Malaga sunshine is calling me! ☀️😍 A bit of warmth might have felt lovely on my recovering shoulder too.

Still, everything happens for a reason. It wasn’t meant to be this time, and there’s always the next one! ❤️

One thing I’ve learnt since joining this travel community is that there’s always something happening, somewhere to explore and something exciting around the corner.

For now, I’ll carry on getting this stock out, try not to get too distracted by everyone’s Malaga pictures, and look forward to my next adventure in NEW YORK! 🗽✈️

I made it to Edinburgh Airport after a long wait in Doha! ✈️

I was so well looked after, thanks to Grace and Jo for arranging special assistance for me. At first, I felt a little embarrassed about needing help, but I soon overcame that. Sometimes we just have to accept the support when we need it. ❤️

When I arrived at Edinburgh Airport, the assistant took me straight to Costa so I could enjoy a much-needed latte ☕ and sort out the next part of my journey home to Newcastle.

I’m now on the bus to Waverley Station, and the driver has been really helpful. From there, I’ll catch the train to Newcastle, followed by a taxi home. I’m nearly there!

What an experience this has been—especially managing everything with one arm! It’s still sore, and I can’t lift anything heavy, but I’m getting there.

Yes, I’m 61 years old and I love travelling, even on my own. I do panic sometimes and can get very anxious, but I keep pushing through it.

I used to be so outgoing, but over the years I’ve become a little shy. I’m trying to find that confident version of myself again, and this travel community is helping me do exactly that. 🌍❤️

Well, what a morning already! 😅

First, I dropped my eldest grandson off at the station as he’s now doing an apprenticeship—I’m so proud of him. ❤️ Then it was home for a shower before my meeting with my support worker, and I managed to get back just in time to see my youngest grandson off to school.
I finally arrived at the shop around 10:30… although it may have been a little later! 😂 I’ve got my Greggs latte and I’ve eaten the sausage wrap my youngest grandson made for me—bless him. 🥰

Now I’m sitting here wondering where to start!

The cushion inserts have arrived, so I need to decide which cushion covers to put on them. The Halloween window also needs sorting, but I may leave that for my daughter to do when she’s in next week while I’m in Dubai. There is always something to do when you run your own shop—it’s never-ending!

On the Dubai front, I’ve finally sorted my Eurochange card. I didn’t get to use it in Antalya because I left it at home! 🙈 Now I just need to load some UAE dirhams onto it and sort out some cash to take with me.

Dubai is getting so close now, and the nerves are definitely starting to kick in… but I’m excited too! ✈️🇦🇪

Right, where do I begin in this shop? 😂
