This week we are celebrating with our fabulous customer Margaret, who turns 80 this week. Margaret has been sewing for many years and I'm sure you will have seen some of her fabulous creations on our page before ! Happy Birthday Margaret ! We hope you have a wonderful birthday !

Are you just starting out on your sewing journey ? Are you not sure how to get started ? We have two great classes to start you off coming soon !
On Saturday 12th September we have our beginners machine sewing class for £60. Learn about threading up, bobbin winding and getting the most out of your machine !
Then on Saturday 10th October we have beginner Dressmaking. Join us to make a simple top, pick a pattern from our stock and we will help you with sizing, pattern layout and construction. Only £80 for the day. Call the store or pop in to book !

✨ Pleated Skirt Sewing Class ✨

Looking to try something new and take your dressmaking skills to the next level? Our Pleated Skirt is a wonderful introduction to garment drafting, with pleats designed and styled to suit your individual shape.

During the day, you’ll learn how to:

🧵 Pleat a skirt onto a waistband
📐 Calculate the amount of fabric needed for your pleats
👜 Add practical pockets
✨ Insert an invisible zip for a beautiful, professional finish

You can choose to work with a stable cotton fabric such as our poplins, or challenge yourself by creating your skirt in viscose or crepe.

📅 Saturday 29th August
⏰ 9:00am – 4:30pm
💷 £70 – including all materials and notions

Plus get 20% off any purchases you make on the day in the dress department.
