Think Outside The Box is an independent retailer specialising in selling fabrics, yarns, haberdashery, jewellery, arts and crafts. Since opening, the shop has expanded from strength to strength to become one of the largest independent wool and fabric stockists in the south west! Within the shop you will find a vast selection of fabrics, wools, haberdashery and craft gifts giving you the option to

either make your own or buy one already made earlier. All the staff are approachable, friendly, and knowledgeable in all craft areas from dressmaking to knitting, weaving and jewellery making.

Blossom Crochet along by the UK Handknitting association, week 5 and 6.
Pt 5 wild pear and pt 6 leaf.

We're loving these little motifs that fill the spaces on the Blossom blanket. Although there's quite a few to make so we best get on with it. Not long until we start to join it all together. Super excited to see the finished creation. Really enjoying this crochet along, the motifs, stitch choice, yarn used and colours are so lovely for a blanket for this time of year. And it's great to sit in the garden this weekend, enjoying the sunshine and crocheting something beautiful. 🧶❤️

We've started the UKHKA (UK Handknitting association) Blossom Crochet along, we've swapped a few colours to colours we've seen in our garden this spring.
We're using James Brett Pure Cotton dk. Our favourite cotton yarn. 🧶❤️
We're in love with the start of this blanket and we're sure you would love it too. Why not check out ukhka website and download the weekly pattern and start your Blossom crochet along. It's a great way to break down a blanket to manageable chunks by making 4 squares a week of each weekly released design. There is also a knit along available called Bloom.

Sirdar Loveful Bio Blend Dk

This beautiful new yarn is made from 20% Wool and 80% CiCLO® Polyester

Apart from the gorgeous colours and soft touch, what makes this yarn so special is that the recycled polyester is using CiCLO® revolutionary technology to create a man-made fibre that reduces the environmental impact of microplastic pollution by being biodegradable like natural fibres. It'll last a life time in your collection and when it's time to finally say farewell, the CiCLO® additive, once in soil, allows microbes to digest the polyester fibres, breaking them down into natural materials like water, CO2, and organic matter. The yarn breaks down at a rate similar to wool and natural fibres, rather than the 100+ years required for conventional polyester.
