Hi 👋🏻 I’ve had this page for some time now. I’ve known for a while that I want to do something with my passion of crochet, but I’ve not had a clear goal until now. Thanks to Steph at I’ve gained the confidence to do what I’ve always wanted to do, designing and teaching others to crochet. I’m gradually building up tutorials and patterns, as well as crochet kits for beginners. But before I launch into all that I wanted to introduce myself! Hi, I’m Lesley, 40 and a mum to two amazing kiddies. Austin 6 (nearly 7) and Keira 3 (I have a page for Keira to help raise awareness of childhood brain cancer ). These two are my inspiration. My designs have young children at the heart of them and tired parents requiring some down time. I have recently embraced my natural curls and on a journey to fall in love with them. I have a passion for photography so I’m constantly taking photos. Disney is a love of mine and this year I finally had my dream come true when I got to hug Mickey Mouse. I’m a true believer in self care and that crochet can play a part in that, it’s massively helped me manage my own mental health and I believe anyone can learn. I want to teach you and I hope you’ll come on this journey with me.

Any parents out there feeling ready for a break? It’s been a long Christmas break. Its regularly been midday before I’ve managed to shower and let’s not even get started on remembering to drink water.

Can we talk about valentine’s day? Do people still celebrate it? I'll be honest it’s not a day that I actively aim to be romantic. It’s not on purpose, more because having two kids means when I do get to go out and be a couple, I want to do it when I don't have to pay a premium. Am I on my own with this?

Valentine’s day did however inspire these gorgeous beanies! I just love the colour but after I made them, I felt they needed something more which is where the heart came in. I do love an excuse to make new hats as well! 😄

I've been thinking about the things that put me off buying from businesses I haven't bought from before, and what I keep coming back too is lack of information. How important is it to know simple things like, can I return the item if I don't like it?, What if I don;t like the colour, but love the style, can I change it? and haow to I care for a handmade item? look no further! I'm putting together FAQs to anwer all the questions people like the answer too. Are there any other questions you'd like me to add to this? comment below.

What’s your favourite think to do outside this time of year? I just love looking at all the different colours nature suddenly gives us. Walking through the trees, playing in piles of leaves and wearing cosy clothes. My kids loving being outside and as a family we get so much from it as well. Santa hats are now live! I’ve previously stayed away from model shots of my products. This has nothing to do with not liking them or not having the skills. Before covid hit and my daughter was born and then very ill, I was a wedding photographer! Taking photos of kids is a whole different ball game to shooting brides and grooms. My daughter helped me get over this worry today, and here is my first modelled photo of one of my products. This is my Santa beanie. I won’t be making many of these, only two in each size.
