Balancing classic Edwardian charm with contemporary personality ✨

You might remember us saying that we’ve been working on a gorgeous Edwardian renovation for one of our clients. Well, this landing corner on their spectacular central stairway feels pretty special. The intricate Copes Trail wallpaper by Zoffany creates a wonderfully layered backdrop with its botanical pattern and muted tones, complementing the period character of the house. Our clients absolutely fell in love with the playful, sculptural Duck Feet Lamp by Porta Romana which adds sparks of unexpected personality through the imposing staircase. This is exactly what makes a renovation feel considered rather than overly traditional, and it’s safe to say that we, and the clients, LOVE it. 🐣🤍

The star of the scheme is William Yeoward’s Machu ‘Peacock’ ~ a beautifully intricate design inspired by the textiles, clothing, and vibrant colour palette of the ancient Incas. Used in this generous, light, and airy guest bedroom, it brings a touch of timeless luxury through this custom-made headboard, chair coverings, and coordinated soft furnishings.

This season we’re embracing earthy greens, warm neutrals, natural stone, layered textures, and beautifully crafted materials that never go out of style.

A rich olive, hunter, or sage green can be so versatile and pair really well with:

🟤 Warm chocolate browns

🪨 Travertine and limestone

🍑 Soft terracotta and clay

🧈 Buttercream rather than stark white

🍇 Aubergine and plum as accent colours

🌾 Lots of tactile natural fibres

There’s no place quite like bed after a day spent surrounded by beautiful interiors ⚜️

Today was spent at Chelsea Harbour Design Centre, discovering new collections, exquisite craftsmanship, and timeless design. Days like these are what help us create timeless, luxurious homes that feel as beautiful as they look.

A little moment of joy in this Edwardian home 💚✨

For this half-bathroom, we leaned into the character of the period while giving it a confident, contemporary edge. The intricate botanical wallpaper from draws from classic Arts & Crafts influences—rich in detail and beautifully illustrated—while the deep teal panelling adds a fresh boldness.

Original-style Thomas Crapper sanitaryware keeps things authentic to the feel of the home’s heritage and the geometric tiled floor adds another layer of interest, tying the palette together and bringing a crisp, refined finish.

Downstairs cloakrooms may traditionally be smaller rooms, but that’s exactly why we let it be expressive. Spaces like this are an opportunity to be braver in layering pattern, colour, and texture in a way that is considered yet full of personality.
