What a stunner of a weekend for Jenn and Tom’s wedding at Jenn’s parents home in the beautiful Cheshire countryside. It started by me having the pleasure of getting to the garden early on Friday morning and spending two hours cutting from Jenn’s parents dream garden while talking to Steven the garden who grew dahlias bigger, fuller and taller than any I have ever seen. Cafe au lait bigger than my head.
Then on the Saturday decorating the wonderful tent by The Canvas Tent Co. | Luxury Canvas Wedding Marquees with our friends from Bespoke Event Catering by Vanilla In All Seasons serving up an amazing feast.
We had the pleasure of decorating the beautiful village church in Swettenham while the bell ringers run we watched the wedding party exit the church in raptures of joy, then we got to work repurposing the church flowers to the marquee.
And then today Jenn sent me these stunning photos from Paul Waring | Wedding Photographer.
To round up dahlias, buttonholes made from roses from the garden, bridesmen carrying bouquets, quintessential English churches, and love a hell of a lot of love.

People often ask why I became a Florist.

Back when I was 17 at art college, I knew I wanted to learn a craft that would eventually allow me to build my own business. I loved anything creative I could shape with my own hands, which led me to train in ceramics and stained glass.
Then, a conversation with my auntie—who is a botanist—changed everything. I decided to dive into floristry.
I completed a course at Reaseheath, worked in a shop in Manchester, and even spent a year living in Paris before coming home to freelance. On February 1st, 2002, when I was just 22 years old, my Mum, my Auntie, and I finally opened the doors to Living Colour.

Unbelievably, Living Colour turns 25 next year! x
