We’re back from our respective holidays, sunning in Turkey for me and running in Wales for Ali, and now we’re on our way north for a weekend with Ali’s family.

On our way we’ve popped into The Old Corn Mill Antiques in Bretherton to tidy up and add some new items. Ali also reduced the prices on a lot of her ceramic items so call in and see if you can find yourself a bargain.

After a lovely stop at Helianthus Emporium we’re back in the car and heading further south.

Made some good purchases and got a much needed cup of tea ☕️ 😃 we definitely recommend calling in at Helianthus if you’re in the area.

We’re heading south this weekend so Ali can meet some friends for a Curly Wurly parkrun 🤷‍♂️ and I can hopefully do some stock buying.

Before we head to our weekend digs we’re going to call in at Helianthus Emporium where we bought some great items last time we visited.

ETA 11:30am, get the kettle on 🤣🤣

We’ve called into The Old Corn Mill Antiques today and Ali has added all these lovely candlesticks to her unit.

She has more new items coming soon, we just need to make some space for them.

We’re up north at the moment for a combined running and antiquing trip.

First up was Edinburgh to celebrate a couple of running club birthdays and Ali ran in an Edinburgh marathon relay team.

We’ve now moved on to Berwick-upon- Tweed with a stop in Kelso en route. Visited several antiques shops including the one in the first picture which was so jam packed we could barely squeeze in. Glad we did though as I bought lots of great pieces there.

We’re on our way up to Scotland but had time to stop off at The Old Corn Mill Antiques on the way to add these two African masks to my unit.

Next stop Carlisle then on to Edinburgh tomorrow.

How beautiful are these large terracotta olive oil jars?

They’re both 48cm tall and have gorgeous colouring.

Ali spotted them in an antiques centre at the weekend and I just had to buy them. They’ll be available on my unit in Farrow House when I get back from a trip up to Edinburgh where Ali’s doing some runs and I’ll be hunting for more interesting items to buy.

What do you think of this advertising slogan that we came across outside an antiques shop down south last year?

Would it make you want to go in? It made us chuckle and we did go in, the inside was just as quirky and the people working in there were lovely.
