Thought I'd share my dahlia with you for a top tip.
Bought the tuber from a nursery for 50p in the July sale...then because it was a bit late for its season....placed the tuber in a plastic tub with very warm water, covered, and reheated the water over the next 24 hours at home. Then took the tub and placed it in direct sun. After a couple of days it began to sprout, so I planted it in some good compost and voila. Dahlia blooms on October. Enjoy!
