From absolute carnage ➡️ what a transformation 😮‍💨👌🏻

The existing flooring had to come up, and underneath was layer after layer of old parquet blocks, adhesive and years of flooring history. What looked like a straightforward uplift quickly turned into “whose idea was flooring again?” territory. 🤦🏻‍♂️
But that's why the preparation matters.
Once everything was uplifted, cleared and the subfloor properly prepared, we installed the new flooring throughout the hallway and adjoining rooms.
And the difference speaks for itself. 🔥

The secret to a flawless Amtico finish? Proper subfloor preparation.Day 1: Initial smoothing latex compound applied to level out the base.
Day 2: Full liquid DPM (damp-proof membrane) to protect against moisture.
Day 3: Final latex screed to achieve that glass-smooth finish required for luxury vinyl.
Next stop: Amtico Spacia installation. Proper prep means zero imperfections telegraphing through and a floor built to last for years.
