Monty is definitely easing himself back in after the Bank Holiday 😹

While he’s snoozing 💤 Im busily painting beautiful “ Mor “ on this Stag Minstrel tallboy although not before a full preparation job , fully sanded , new runners , and Cornish primer of course 👌

Top coat on tomorrow ! Hardware to clean and lots of furniture balm on the drawers and backs ! 💪

No doubt Monty will be “assisting “ as usual!😴

Another beautiful Fusion Mineral Paint “Bayberry” green makeover . It never fails to impress and I’m so glad my client chose it as it’s one of my favourites 💚

The thick grey chalk paint was a challenge to remove , but not match for a very determined woman 💪

0nce stripped and cleaned two coats of Cornish Milk primer and then three coats of “ Bayberry “, topped off by 2 coats of wax finish Polyvine .🖌️

The handles were reinstated as my client had purchased them recently , as were the upstands . Although as you will see from photos there is the option to leave them off for a different look .😊

Thanks to TCHL Interiors Ltd for all the materials and for going the extra mile to locate out of stock items . That’s what I call customer service 🎖️

And Monty was ever supportive and helpful as usual 😹

But when you see the evidence of many years of bottoms sitting on it 🤣

Don’t worry little🦌bedroom stool you will go to the ball🤩
And to think some painty folks don’t reupholster their bedroom stools as part of commissions 🙂‍↔️ that’s just wrong 🥴

From heirloom to beautiful modern room !🤍

This already lovely oak easel mirror needed a careful makeover to bring it to modern taste.😊

It was finished in slightly orange varnish which was dating it . I suggested to my client that it would be a shame to paint the lovely wood grain and she agreed.👌

The mirror was disassembled carefully and the old finish removed. I used Fusion Mineral Paint “Chateau” 🤍 from TCHL Interiors Ltd to paint wash and refinished it in Gilboys gold wax oil twice and then applied their gorgeous bees wax for a soft shine .🐝

Now the inherited mirror is ready to start a new life in its modern home 🥰

If not I’m up for job😇 - nothing I won’t do to get furniture to be happy and loved again 🥰

Lots of elbow grease required for this chalk painted bedside and it’s bigger tallboy brother 💪

Polyvine Ltd stripper from TCHL Interiors Ltd, carbide scrapper and Mirka sander and hand sanding the fiddly bits😮‍💨

Monty was really helpful as per 🐱💤
