Looking for flour without added folic acid? š¾
Quite a few of you have been asking us which of our flours donāt have folic acid added, so we thought it was worth explaining whatās changing.
New UK rules will require folic acid to be added to most non-wholemeal wheat flour from December 2026. Weāre currently in the transition period, and some mills have already started adding it to their flour.
If youāre specifically looking for flour without added folic acid, there are still plenty of options in our range. Weāve pictured just a few here and you can find more in our Unfortified Flour collection online.
There are some exemptions. Small-scale mills producing less than 500 tonnes of flour a year can be exempt from the fortification requirements, which means youāll still be able to find some UK-milled white flours without added folic acid.
